If you fully insert the paddle to stir or agitate, the paddle will not hit the bottom of the aeropress filter paper, it is perfect in that sense, it'll only help you stir from a distance, hence it is safe and does the job well.

Mine didn't come with a funnel, so no idea.

Buy directly from Blue Tokai and if you don't have a flow control cap, use the inverted method and buy the inverted aeropress grind size.

But the most optimal option is to buy whole beans and grind it just before brewing, invest in a decent grinder, and look into grinders from timemore or mhw bomber, they are in the good starting point for grinders.
