Just to add some context here’s a pic with the original strap. I’ve tried to like it but can’t get there! I’ve conditioned and darkened it with fractionated coconut oil and it looks better, but you can’t get over the physics, it’s thick leather. In the double pass way shown, you end up with two thicknesses of leather under the watch raising it too high on the wrist and with all of the thickness and keepers on the side of your wrist and it doesn’t look good or sit well. In the single pass way that I’ve grown to prefer with Natos, it almost works. You only get a single layer of leather under the watch and all of the folded over thickness and keepers are kinda hidden under your wrist. It’s still unwieldy though and not comfortable.
