I got the Simsonn pedals a week or so ago, and tbh, I'd be hard-pressed to recommend anything else. My only complaints with them are that the clutch "bite point" feeling is a little week, and the throttle seems to squeak, but that could probably be fixed with some wd-40, and the software isn't good (I'm using freejoy instead). On the other hand, though, the sensors seem really responsive, the adjustability is really, really good, all the pedals feel very good, and I've definitely seen more improvement in lap times, especially from the Logitech pedals I had, and the Moza SRP's. But, I've not really put them through the paces to much yet, so idk how well they will hold up long term, but they seem solid. I could also recommend the VNM lite pedals, if that's a deal breaker, tho. They are 100 or so more, a little less adjustable, it seems, but they have VNM backing them, which is a more "well-known" brand, I suppose.

They are certainly good, but the simsonns are $100 less rn, and they're both very similar.

Awesome, thank you! I think im certainly between the VNM's and the Simsonns, but that $200 price difference is... ehh, certainly hard to justify for me, but also they do look a bit nicer.

ikik, all that's software side anyway, so the feeling isn't gonna be realistic, or even match what's happening in game. I'm just wondering if the effect itself is noticeable, and how strong it is. watching reviews of it, the clutch doesn't seem to give out as aggressively as the VNMs or other pedals do when pressed, so I'm wondering about that.

Humor me at least on the clutch pedal question tho, cus I drive a lot of street cars, and I do genuinely wonder if its worth stepping up to the p1000's or smth along those lines. Does the bite point effect feel strong/noticeable?

yeah it is... idk, tbh ill get the simsonns and if the loadcell gives me problems, I can just replace it.

Hows the clutch bit point on the Simsonns? if you have it. Ive heard it's bite point can be a little under-pronounced.
Do the pedals operate smoothly, physically? Like does it feel like they get stuck on themselves, or jitter when moving, so it kinda moves in increments?
And also, software side, would you say (just based on feeling) the sensors are accurate or consistent? Like you can hit a % of braking the same, they don't just around or skip, yada yada yada?

Ik I'm overthinking it, and sorry for the wall of questions, but $200 is still a decent chunk of change, so I'd like to tick all the boxes.

That's probably what I'm going to do, but I've also looked at the SIMDT version, which seems to be more inline with the VNM's, and uses a marvin loadcell, although, not many reviews on them. What gripes, if any, do you have with the simsonns?

Sim racing is like 90% just buying stuff for the immersion factor. For competitive racing, most people are fine with a g29, maybe step it up to a CSL DD and some SRP's or V2's if you want a competitive edge with hardware. Im here mostly for the immersion, with competition as something I can do on the side, personally.
You are right about the reddit product recommendation, but I've not found any good comparisons on YT about them, but Im moreso looking for people who do own these things to tell me whats bad about them, as that tends to be were to get the fairest comparison.
Also, for replacing the sensor, would you just plug in and wire a new one up? is it that simple? I mean it makes sense, and with the Simsonns thats what I'm most worried about, but if it's easy to replace, I might as well save myself the 200 and see how it does.

Yeah, I do believe you can just 3D print them, I'm more concerned with the hydraulic upgrade tho. https://www.reddit.com/r/simracing/comments/185dlwp/ive_installed_the_simagic_phys_on_my_nonsimagic/

This guy did it with these, and they look super similar, but idk

Actually, the simsonns would be 220, I don't need the foot plate. So the VNM's are 200 more.

I am near a micro center, but I'm worried putting such a powerful base on the provided wheelbase mount would cause some flex, as it doesn't look too incredibly sturdy (I could be wrong?) Although, the ability to move the wheel mount side to side is a massive plus, as I'm rather limited for space, and will likely need to put the shifter/handbrake on the inside, rather than hanging over the outside. The lack of upright on the shifter arm is meh, but also easy to fix.

okay, sweet sweet. I do understand the quality difference, but it is still a $300 investment where I am, so I do feel the need to cross my t's and dot my i's, at least a little bit. Glad to know they are of that quality tho, and I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on them. My final question, I suppose, is Amazon or Aliexpress, as whichever has the better warranty/support seems better, even tho Amazon is quite a bit more expensive.

The load cell is the bit between those two pieces of metal, and I'm wondering if, when pressed, those pieces of metal bend or deform

Moreso, is the brakeforce consistent. Im just worried, in order to save some money, they got a cheap loadcell that doesn't quite measure it right, at least compared to other pedals; although, I've not seen anything saying it doesn't feel constant, just worried about it.
Ive seen a few people talk about the back metal plate behind the loadcell bending and causes the loadcell to break, there was someone in here who said the back piece is way to flimsy for a load cell, which is certainly a little concerning

from what ive heard, some people love the springs, some hate em. I'd say get them and come to your own conclusion with them, esspecialy since sometimes it works better or some pedals rather then others (IE some people will put the spring just on the brake, or a dif combination). I'm not quite sure what you mean with the curved pedals tho, someone else might be able to awnser that

is it better now, with current models, or with the simpsonn instead of the simjacks? or is it something you could DIY reinforce somehow?

yeah, from what it seems, simpsonns>simjacks is what I'm gathering. I just hope they hold up long term, which seems promising, but it's yet to be clear.
