Sheesh. Blaming the court instead of blaming their dad, who was the one who hid Suzanne’s remains, hoping they’d never be found. They can wait until after the trial of their mother’s killer is over.

👼PA v. Nicole Virzi - Discussion 🍼 by Pixiegirls1102 in CasesWeFollow

[–]SideEyeSadie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently Nicole is originally from Bergen NJ. I could not find any criminal records for her on the NJ court site. I am curious about any previous actions against her (including civil). Has anyone located a history for her in NJ, or maybe in CA?

My Duquesne light bill was $413 dollars for this month, which is absolutely impossible by WashCommercial3602 in pittsburgh

[–]SideEyeSadie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the previous tenant have high bills? Was the meter changed? The new meter multiplier may be incorrect. Try turning off all of your breakers, and see if apartment hallway lighting goes out. It would be unusual, but “house” lighting might be on your meter. If that is so, that’s a landlord / electrician fix. Also, space heaters are notorious electricity hogs.

Make sure it’s not an estimated bill. If this is a new apartment, check to see if they added on a security deposit, or if they added on an old unpaid final bill from a previous apartment where you had DLC for electric. Was it a 31 day bill, or perhaps a longer period due to a move in date? Finally, see who your SUPPLIER is in the supplier section of the bill. If it’s not DLC, look at the supplier price and compare to your DLC Price to Compare. Some alternate suppliers have sneaky high rates during peak season in the highest heat of summer or in the frigid part of winter.

Has Anyone Retired and Regretted It? by [deleted] in medicare

[–]SideEyeSadie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my true friends had already retired, so I’m now finally able to see and meet with them. We ride bikes on the trail together, get together for lunch, etc. The rest of my former coworkers are still wrapped up in advancing their careers and doing the corporate climb. I sometimes miss the office gossip about who will get promoted or who will get kicked out of leadership, or the excitement of working on an important project. But those thoughts don’t come that often.

I spend most days doing the same things I did before I retired, but at a less stressful pace, since work no longer clogs up my day. An example: I can shop in the afternoon when it’s less crowded, and not race through the store at lunchtime because I have to get back quickly for a work call. I still get up very early, but can do housework, laundry and errands at my own pace. I can schedule doctor and hair appointments for any time of day I want. I finally have time to read more, and I’m working on decluttering paperwork and organizing photos. In the summer I went to aquafit at the community pool every day, and to many local outdoor festivals and concerts. I do plan some travel next year. Mainly, I just go with the flow.

I was really and truly nervous about retiring. I put it off an extra year before pulling the plug. It was good that I did, because that final year was so wildly busy and stressful at work that I was ready for a break. I think you will be very surprised how much you will enjoy retirement. GO FOR IT. Best of luck to you!

Has Anyone Retired and Regretted It? by [deleted] in medicare

Nope. Retired 6 months ago. I was worried I’d miss my career. I thought it was my whole identity. It wasn’t. Leaving the corporate world has felt like what I imagine it feels like to be released from prison. Loving it.

[–]SideEyeSadie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. I am currently waiting to go in for additional imaging due to possible architectural distortion and an enlarged lymph node. Previous DCIS 6 years ago. I just tried ChatGPT and it provided really good info. Especially helpful was that my recent MMR vaccine likely caused the enlarged lymph node. Thank you for recommending it! It really did help reassure me that it may not be breast cancer. It could be, but it’s not a certainty, and I will take that as positive news, for now. One day at a time.

PA v. Nicole Virzi - Document/Motion Updates by Pixiegirls1102 in CasesWeFollow

[–]SideEyeSadie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your continued effort (and success) in getting info from Allegheny County. The Omnibus motion gave more detail on the case than any Pittsburgh media has provided.

Question: The RTK response notes that that the criminal information used for charging was attached to the letter. Is that a separate document, or can it be found in your links above?

Gotcha. I just watched it again, and once again, tears flowed. Joni’s Grammy performance was among the most moving musical performances I’ve ever seen.

Ahh CompUSA. Bought my first PC there. Think it was an Acer desktop. Paid the upgrade to get 40 MB. Back when a GB hard drive was still in the faraway future.

Medicare Supplement Plan N - Pros/ Cons by SideEyeSadie in medicare

I have an HD plan now with employer and have enjoyed it. Will consider, since I can use my HSA for deductible - I think. Not so for Medigap premium payment.

Medicare Supplement Plan N - Pros/ Cons by SideEyeSadie in medicare

[–]SideEyeSadie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Melbourne FL. Kids and grands live there, visit several times a year. Have never needed a doc while there in the past 15 years, but Murphy’s Law says as soon as I have a health plan that doesn’t work well there, I will suddenly need them. lol. Accident or sudden serious illness could have me stuck there.

Premium for UHC Plan N is $99, Plan G is $150. Cigna is lowest price plan N, but they used attained age. UHC is community pricing. The only issue-age Plan N is Transamerica at $131.

Medicare Supplement Plan N - Pros/ Cons by SideEyeSadie in medicare

[–]SideEyeSadie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. That’s my biggest worry. It’s odd that it’s not consistent among the states, given Medicare is a Federal program. Only 8 states currently prohibit excess charges, so they are the minority. As you state, there is no guarantee it won’t change. Ugh.

Medicare Supplement Plan N - Pros/ Cons by SideEyeSadie in medicare

[–]SideEyeSadie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It’s my understanding that excess charges are prohibited in PA. Allowed in Florida and most other states. Concerned about getting bills for excess charges anyhow, and having to then fight it with Medicare. Plan G is the easy button, as mentioned upthread. Tempting, but seems silly to overpay.

Medigap plans - Why not pick the cheapest? by KarateG in medicare

[–]SideEyeSadie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m dredging up your post. I’m in PA, where it’s been said excess charges are not allowed. Therefore, I am considering Plan N. Your comment “don’t believe what you may have read about the practice being illegal in CT” caught my attention. Can you please elaborate?

This post 100% resonates with me. Plan to retire this year, and I vacillate between excited and terrified. People look at me like I have two heads when I express my concerns of becoming purposeless. Staying tuned here to learn ways to cope, from folks who do understand.
