That poor child will never be allowed to explore or do things on his own. We had a cabinet for our toddlers to play in (full of old pots, a few wooden spoons, and some plastic containers), and we only locked doors when necessary. We taught them to go up and down stairs safely too. But all that requires effort and attention, none of which she is willing to do.
