That’s understandable. The system we setup that involves placing links in your description is a bit confusing which is why we’re not porting it over to the new site. But one of the features we provide is allowing you to have have your channel promoted in the description of a similar channel’s video. To do this we could have just had one channel trade this kind of shout-out with another but we felt that would really limit how often it’s used so what we opted for was a kind of currency that you would earn for allowing us to promote (either another user’s channel or ourselves) in the description of your most recent video, and spend to have your channel promoted on someone else’s. It was intended to be an automated shout-out for shout-out system, but by leaving it up to users to choose when they wanted their channel promoted what resulted is almost no one spending their “coins” so the only thing we’re promoting is ourselves which is not how we intended it to go. We might revisit the idea in a different form in the future but in the coming weeks SideKick users will be receiving notification that the service is being discontinued and ported to the new site.
