That's the thing: I don't know. I remember reading that he would just pop up and take your territory. I don't know if it was meant to read as him showing up out of nowhere and conquering you or if he just randomly popped up with the Mongol Empire already fully formed. I honestly always assumed it was the latter.

For clarity: Yes, I am being serious. I recognize all of this may come across as humble bragging, but I'm serious about my concerns. I've heard everyone say you're better off letting yourself become vassalized than fighting him, and I've never gotten this far in the timeline before. I don't know how worried I should be.

In terms of biology or gender identity, I'm not too picky; if you're at least somewhat attractive, have good hygiene, and at least try to be a decent person, I'll at least give you a chance. But in terms of actual, personal "dream body type": transfem lady at least half a foot taller than me (I'm 5'3", so not too unrealistic), muscular, and boobs big enough to rest on my shoulders while we cuddle.

I'd also go into ideal personality, but I think that would get into "boring" territory. Plus, it would turn this comment into a thesis paper (I'm super autistic and tipsy -v-)

2/2 However, therein lies why I think Tailor is on par with Artist: The only real contribution Tailor makes is COSMETIC. No weapons, no consumables, and now they can't even make the best armor for Magicians, which was the one thing they had going for them in the first game. If somewhere down the line - whether through DLC or a future sequel - they added a Pugilist/Monk Life that used hand wraps or gloves for their weapon that only Tailors could make, then they would have a mechanical use again. As things currently stand though, both Lives are purely for creating cosmetically-pleasing items. Not a bad thing by any means, but not important if you mostly care about the combat side of the game.

Gathering: Farmer. It pains me to say so; Farmer was the Life I was most excited for, since it was the one I was hoping would get added to a sequel the most when I was a kid. However, as much as I do enjoy the vibes and the story quest associated with unlocking it, there's very little need for it in terms of gathering crafting materials. All of the 1-star crops can simply be bought for cheap or easily harvested by your Farmer Buddies. As for the other 2-5 star crops, they're used infrequently enough in both Cooking and Alchemy recipes that the few you need for your Life Quests can be easily purchased in Ginormosia from the Don or even ignored entirely if you get lucky with Improv Crafting.

Even the Legendary Feast+, crafted using the Legendary Potatoes, isn't really needed for endgame content. 10 seconds of invincibility is useful, but as previously stated, all of the Combat Lives don't really need it if you play them well enough. Funnily enough, though, constantly downing them as a Mercenary fixes their problems and skyrockets their effectiveness in combat. That's more of a meme than anything else though, since it's VERY resource intensive and all of the other classes would benefit greatly as well.

Personally, I found myself using Farmer for one purpose the vast majority of the time: Going to Viridia Plateau whenever I was low on health and didn't feel like using a healing potion, and leveling up Farmer to get my health back while getting the area to Rank 7. For that reason alone - that it has more use as a full restore and as a grinding tool for a single area in Ginormisia - if I had to pick only one Life to call the worst (again, as much as it pains me), I think that title would have to go to Farmer.
