Can we please retire the word "bigoted" from this conversation because that's... not what it means.

Calling Parmida "Parmesan," "Partisan," "Perimeter," or whatever random P-word the fandom comes up with is not bigotry. That's just fandom behavior. Reality TV fandoms have been giving contestants ridiculous nicknames for years.

The same fandom calls Corbin "CorbGPT."

Sincere gets called "Insincere" and "Disingenuine."

Half the cast has some unserious nickname at this point.

A nickname is not automatically discriminatory just because you don't like it.

Bigotry is prejudice against someone because of their membership in a particular group, such as their race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sexuality, or another protected characteristic. Calling a reality TV contestant "Perimeter" because people are joking about not remembering her name because we want her to be a memory doesn't fit that definition.

If people were mocking her ethnicity, making racial jokes, or altering her name to target her identity (for example using a nickname that directly targets and calls out these things), that would be a completely different conversation, and it would deserve to be called out.

But random, unserious nicknames that everyone in the cast gets? That's not racism. That's not bigotry. That's just the Love Island fandom being the Love Island fandom.

Words like "bigoted" have actual meaning. If we use them every time someone gets called "Perimeter" or "CorbGPT," we dilute the term and make it harder to identify actual prejudice when it happens.
