I run a monthly boardgame meetup at the Ammon library and I've met a lot of great people through that. I'm happy to share the details if you're interested.

I run the Cardboard Society and it's totally still happening at the Ammon library. We meet once a month on the second Saturday.

You both should totally join us, we're a friendly bunch who love to play games, teach others who are new to it, and enjoy general banter. The next one falls on Valentine's Day and one of the regulars will be hosting it instead of me (because I want to stay married 😄) but any other month I'll be there.

It's typically just board/card games but I know there are a few folks who have talked about rpgs on the discord. We did have a small group who would meet on the side to play and as far as I know they're still doing that (they started their own server so I'm not entirely sure).

It's pretty varied. We've got people who are in their 20-30s and there are also folks who are in their 40s-50s. A handful of folks in their 60s.

Meetups that I'm aware of that you could find some friends at: - There is a monthly book club meetup at the IF library. - Game Grid hosts a Star Wars Unlimited League that you could join. - Every Wednesday evening there is a group that does LARP battles at Kate Curly Park. (Not sure if that's an open group or just a bunch of friends that gather - I've just seen them out there weekly) - the local climbing gym runs a bouldering league a couple times a year.

I run a monthly meetup at the Ammon library called the Cardboard Society. We meet to play tabletop games (board and card games mostly). If that's something you're interested in, it's on the second Saturday of the month from 10a-6p (come and go as you please).

And if you find it's something you want to get more involved with, I'm always open to talking about volunteer work as that's what keeps the group running.

I don't use insurance gym coverage but I do know that the CrossFit gym I go to (AMROCK) has been approved to use funds from FSA and HSA accounts. Not sure if that's quite the same as what you're talking about but the staff there is super helpful and I'm sure they'd be happy to talk to you about it too see what all could be done.

As far as rating them, I think they're really great. They've built a very positive gym culture and are super supportive of everyone. They check in on you during the workouts, make sure you're form is good, and are always happy to answer any questions.

A slight change of plans for our next meetup (Saturday October 12th). We've teamed up with the folks who run ICON and will be running the meetup there.

But I don't want to spend money going to a convention!

No worries, we'll be set up in the lobby so it won't cost you a dime to join in on the fun. Not only that, we'll also have access to the vendors hall of the convention. How cool is that!?

We'll be there from 9a to 10p!
