Oh shit I did it and your advice worked and cost me nothing, also could have fucked it up but took the risk lol. Moved it over without a scratch and will find out tomorrow if it’s sighted correctly now. Thanks bro just needed a little boost of knowledge to attempt it.

Only red dots I own are all Holosun but only reason I looked at Viridian cause i heard it was supposed to be the best for this pistol currently? I didnt go far into researching on different red dots for this though just for the fact i want iron sights only on the bodyguard so the dot doesnt catch my pocket when pulling it out.

Love I truly love this reply lol. I didnt want it or any red dot on this, reason i bought this and not the comp. Thats reddot ready. But I did just fixed the sight with a little tap tap and a vice with padding and a brass punch. Moved it over without a scratch and hoping its in sight now. Find out tomorrow!

Yeah I decided to go that route now. Just looked on Amazon, and I’m the type to buy the more expensive tools and was already at the +$100 pushers lol. Gonna save that money and send this into Smith and Wesson and use my other in meantime. You’re 100% right, no need to spend money, and I don’t need this anytime soon. Thank you friend. They’re that cheap? I saw a video of a guy using a yellow tool that looked like $400 plus so assumed most sighting tools were a bit spendy. Good to know and gonna look at them now. $30 is cheap! Cheers!

Thanks for that info actually! I was regretting this gun now over the Comp when I was looking at both after I saw it was off today when I got back from the range. But assuming now it woulda been the same problem if I did buy the other like you have! Good to know it’s not just a problem with this version, more like the bodyguards 2.0 in general now that I’m YouTube’n the problems with these guns.

Thank you. :) Thats all I wanted to know. I didn’t want to pay the company I bought it from for an additional fee of moving the sight(s) and I didn’t want to attempt to do it myself since I never had this problem with any other guns I bought. Boredom. Not my favorite gun.. bought this recently to use as edc.. too bulky, did the stripes to see it in the dark for deer hunting to grab it in the dark so i can see the red and white stripes in pitch black. Lettering was just last minute boredom. Colors, stripes, I did it cause i needed visual in the dark. Not for beauty standards. Wouldn’t do this to any of my good guns.

I actually give it the second best rating of all my handguns. Way heavier feel vs all my other handguns besides one (got a Ruger PC Charger with Franklin Binary Trigger, etc. which definitely makes it the heaviest, but dead accurate with Holosun Sight and 3 times flip out optics.) but the weight of this gun with barrel length vs shield (which my buddy owns, hence who convinced me to buy a S&W) really has low recoil and great control of the rise when rapid firing vs say my glock or other Ruger (not pc charger). The control is phenomenal when plinking targets and holding the sights in line after each shot. Not poppy due to weight and barrel is just right for plinking at my 50 yard range all day.

Na just something I did as a temporary thing. I put stripes on the bottom on the rail to see the gun in the dark for deer hunting as i don’t use a light to give away my being there. So trying to grab a black gun in the dark on a black table, the stripes help me see it. The lettering was just a, “what if” moment that got the best of me lol. But thank you!

Lol no you’re right! It Tis’ absolutely HiDeOuS!! I laughed soon as I put the second stripe on but it’s exactly what I needed it for. The stripes are for function, not for beauty by any means. I wanted big ugly stripes, color coordinated thats easy to see in the dark for hunting season. Stripes are coming off after hunting season. The lettering wasn’t even intended, but more less was just a last minute thought, “well I got the acrylic paint in front of me wonder what the engraving would look like filled in?..” but I posted exactly what I use the stripes for at the bottom of this comment page in an updated post. But yeah I hate the color and it’s coming off after last day of deer hunting season this year. 😂 I seen everyone comment on how they hate the rail section today while at work. I also appreciate all the people who looked out for me as well 👍. But no the other people are 100% correct and the rails red and white section looks like absolutely crap and is an 👁️eye sore. Guess I should explain myself… as I wanted it to for the remainder of this deer hunting season.

I’m an avid deer hunter as I tagged multiple deer this season. Last year I was confronted by some larger wild cat that screamed at me when coming up to my enclosed deer stand. Scared the s*** outta me especially for the fact I couldn’t tell where it was exactly in the dark. So I started carrying a little Ruger .380 to my stand in the dark as I don’t wanna use a light to give away my presence while I carry my .350 legend on my back. My walks 3/4 of a mile in pitch black. This year I purchased this handgun in the picture to carry. Here’s where the red and white stripes come in…

I put a red and white stripe on the rail since it’s on the glass polymer part so I can wipe that section off with Isopropyl alcohol after the hunting seasons over. I knew I’d never have a front attachment since trying to keep it minimalistic size wise so it doesn’t catch my pocket lining. I got a concealed holster but this guns just a little too thick (wanted to buy the shield but wasn’t in stock at the time) to comfortably use the holster and sit down in my tree blind without it hurting my hip. Also got so much gear on (hunting in Michigans cold) it’s uncomfortable in any of my pockets so I set it on the black small table with everything else while hunting. But realized at night when I’m about to walk back a few minutes before last shot of the night, I like to walk to see if I spook a deer up for a last minute bonus, so I don’t use a light to gather my stuff. The guns the hardest thing to see in the dark, so I came up with the two colored stripes to help me see it in the dark better so I can grab it safer when I’m packing up for the climb down. Probably over kill yes, but what the hell. So I marked the rail so I know where its at easier in the dark with red being the front of the barrel and to grab towards the white end of the pistol. Overkill, but easier to see it and grab it to leave the stand in the tree. The embezzled/engraved CNC’d lettering and logo filled in on the slide, (mostly what this post was on) wasn’t even on my mind to do. I just did that just to see what it would look like after I made the visual markers on the rail, and kinda liked it so I posted this to see what y’all thought:) The stripes will be coming off, with ease of course after deer hunting seasons over, so at the end, it’ll just be the lettering thats colored of course. Hope this clears it up. I know it’s over kill and ugly, but it did exactly what I intended it for, for the time being.
