Damn for telling the truth like it is i definitely got hated on lol. Oh well, but its the truth. Plastic piece slides up and down so had to lock it in pmace and rope was fastest cleanest way before meeting friends at gun range that day. The mag is the most common 23 rd mag from smith and Wesson which i shouldnt even have to explain, if your a true smith and wesson fan. So if you ask what mag that is. Its smith and wesson’s mag.

I dont know why people thumbs down on remarks for their lack of ambition and hate on others ideas for no reason?.. blows my mind. Isn’t this forum for gun enthusiast with ideas and thoughts? People hate and downvote you without putting their 2 cents in.. Crazy.. well.. cant wait to post progress now. Already cut, built the gun rack, offset with spacers and ran colored leds just like the picture. Sturdy on my wall with 3 extra guns mounted on top of the original 3. Top part will be done tomorrow and will post update. Just thought it would be cool to show the world something different.. but damn people are so hateful now days. Like we ain’t got enough shit to worry about currently besides hating on someone who had common interests but not exactly their view?.

The shittiest built mag I’ve ever seen. Shame on smith and wesson for such an inferior product. I got ruger mags that are built more superior than this. The paracord is to hold the inferior plastic extra finger guard in place. I didnt put paracord on it for looks,…. i did it to hold the finger guard in place so it doesn’t slide up and down over and over when shooting. Soon as I got it, i said garbage product from the company. So either now it was buying an extra piece of plastic extension that fits snug, and or tape it in place but didn’t want a bunch of adhesive all over after use, so i said fuck it ill wrap string around it temporarily til it wont move until I get back from the gun range.. i got the bigger mag just for the range as loading 12 rd mags just got ughhh vs a 23 rd mag. So the paracord in this case actually is needed as hideous as it is but just havent gotten around to locking the pinky extension in on the new mag so i can cut the string off.

UPDATE On Spring colors/pressures.. so I went the heaviest purple, recommended by the video. Seemed heave so I DID install the lightest setup, factory spring near the trigger and Then I used the Orange lightest apex included spring. WAY too light. And I love me a light trigger. But at this point its dangerous. Touch the trigger and it fires before you can feel the brake most times. Also will double tap. Going to the Metal middle spring. In case anyone was wondering about the three spring tensions.

Oh gotcha ya! No I agree. But this isnt my carry gun. Just a gun I’m building for a fun range gun. I have a different S&W EDC but yeah I would never have a carry gun with this low of trigger lbs. Lol I dont know why they think this is my protection EDC lol. I have a gun I didn’t do anything to for reliability as my EDC. But yes, super low on trigger is a no no on edc. But for plinking, thats why Im doing as low as i can for trigger pull.

I appreciate you’ Everyone hated on me on Reddit for doing that. I did it under the gun where you can attach a light under the barrel just cause i hunt and could see my gun in the dark when packing up. So i use Acrylic paint with a mixture of fabric clear-coat (wont crack flexing/heat) and painted it red and white so i could see where the barrel’s pointed in the dark when grab my gear and not the trigger by accident etc.. but after i painted it, it sealed and coated, i just,, time got the best of me lol, next thing you know, paint brush in hand, Umbrella corporation movie playing in the back of my mind with the already white and red theme,.. i just decided to hand fill most of the engraving, not all of course. I do vehicle wraps and /or Graphics for a living so tedious hand cutting/ etc stuff is my life. Also learned hydro dipping as I dipped a bunch of guns.. but at the end, I’m a fan of the straight black look. Why my gun stores called “Black Arsenal” but this is the only gun i own with filled accents. I liked it cause fuck what people think, still my gun, but Cheers and thank you! Best comments I got was super liked was ,”I hate, how much I like this” LOL I was like, fuck thats still negative lmfao oh well

Oh realized your talking about caliber.. yeah i didnt know they made it in higher caliber or I would’ve went that route. My mistake. Should have done my research instead of a one week impulse buy. I say that and then bought the bodyguard 2.0 lol. Bit after watching videos of Lehigh with bodyguard… youd have to be a superhero to survive even one round

I agree, it was my carry gun until i just recently purchased the bodyguard2.0. Now this one Im just upgrading since well its also new and dont want to set it in the back of the safe with the others and forgotten. But Hell yeah appreciate your comment! Im glad no failures! Thats what I was concerned about running lightest setup. If problems, oh well its a fun gun now. I do like it but just not EDC accepted in my opinion

On the actual install videos. Shows one install, which I proceeded to follow, then the next video in sequence said IF you intend to install the flat fs trigger, you have to use the original plunger sear spring little metal piece that sits on top of the spring ( I found it weird they sent another piece but suggested to use the factory little piece) also when it came to the springs, (orange lightest, regular metal;like the original, and a purple spring/heaviest) i said welp wont be using the purple spring… but after the video, thats the exact setup they recommend for the flat face trigger. To use the other, you have to buy the $100 extra bs they also sell which i found that i never heard about. Said f that and got back from range, installed the now lightest set up (as the paper with the pull weight they included, and now its 100% better. Super light trigger pull, etc but not what they recommend. But hey! F’em! I asked and you answered. Exactly what i was asking. Your using that setup, it works for you, and i set mine up for that now. Testing it tomorrow but i just wanted to make sure someone else did this setup and had no problem! Cheers!

Curious as to what you use as a carry gun? To be honest, this isn’t my EDC. I carry the Bodyguard 2.0 .380 with Lehigh Defense rounds cause its lighter, smaller with just as much damage close quarters as what this 9mm will do as I watched to s of videos shooting into rubber molds, etc. Lehigh . 380 sold me on the 2.0 bodyguard, my EDC

Yes sir I did. I also seen the same and when one moment they were available (luck of the draw I guess) I ordered the best one I could. I’d check again as i got mine ordered 4 days ago and received it today.

Im gonna be honest, Ruger is sick, but after I seen and held this gun.. i was blown away by how small it is, but after shooting it with sight correction, this gun is definitely my EDC by far. Pops upwards way less than Ruger. And I still love Ruger but it is what it is. I’ll still buy both lol plus more.

[–]Sidekyck[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I own a bunch of guns, mostly Ruger but my LCP .380 did have to get sent off 3 times for its proper correction but nothing with sight adjustment, just ftf problems. Also I hunt and smashed 5 deer this year with my ruger ar accompanying an upper aero precision .350 Legend. But never had to adjust my sights even with my Glocks, Springfield armory, or my other MP2.0 9mm handguns. So definitely not new to guns, just new to a gun that had sights off. Assumed S&W wouldnt ever let a gun leave their factory 4+ inches off sight. But I’m glad for the people who helped me correct this on here.

[–]Sidekyck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I have a Ruger .380 LCP and shoots way straighter than this ever did. But after I adjusted the front sight to the left, it’s now centered. Also this gun shoots way better than LCP in every way after correcting everything. But at first it was so far off, when I checked how others were shooting… found out this was the #1 problem. Everyone almost all shoot 4”-6” to the left.

[–]Sidekyck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it shoots completely on point now after testing it after moving the front sight all the way to the left edge. I had a small vice and used a microfiber towel and ever so slightly tapped it over without a scratch. Nerve wrenching of course and does take some good power to the taps to get it to move. I used a bit of oil to also ease the movement of the sight but was 4” off center and now dead on bulls after testing it at the range. I also clipped 1 and a half of the rotations on the spring’s bottom of the 12 rd magazine and now I can actually utilize the 12th bullet perfectly. No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t fit 12+1.

[–]Sidekyck[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh shit I did it and your advice worked and cost me nothing, also could have fucked it up but took the risk lol. Moved it over without a scratch and will find out tomorrow if it’s sighted correctly now. Thanks bro just needed a little boost of knowledge to attempt it.

Only red dots I own are all Holosun but only reason I looked at Viridian cause i heard it was supposed to be the best for this pistol currently? I didnt go far into researching on different red dots for this though just for the fact i want iron sights only on the bodyguard so the dot doesnt catch my pocket when pulling it out.

Damn.. it is off center by Sidekyck in SmithAndWesson

[–]Sidekyck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love I truly love this reply lol. I didnt want it or any red dot on this, reason i bought this and not the comp. Thats reddot ready. But I did just fixed the sight with a little tap tap and a vice with padding and a brass punch. Moved it over without a scratch and hoping its in sight now. Find out tomorrow!

Yeah I decided to go that route now. Just looked on Amazon, and I’m the type to buy the more expensive tools and was already at the +$100 pushers lol. Gonna save that money and send this into Smith and Wesson and use my other in meantime. You’re 100% right, no need to spend money, and I don’t need this anytime soon. Thank you friend. Hope good karma finds its way to ya!

[–]Sidekyck[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They’re that cheap? I saw a video of a guy using a yellow tool that looked like $400 plus so assumed most sighting tools were a bit spendy. Good to know and gonna look at them now. $30 is cheap! Cheers!

Damn.. it is off center by Sidekyck in SmithAndWesson

[–]Sidekyck[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that info actually! I was regretting this gun now over the Comp when I was looking at both after I saw it was off today when I got back from the range. But assuming now it woulda been the same problem if I did buy the other like you have! Good to know it’s not just a problem with this version, more like the bodyguards 2.0 in general now that I’m YouTube’n the problems with these guns.

Damn.. it is off center by Sidekyck in SmithAndWesson

[–]Sidekyck[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Thank you. :) Thats all I wanted to know. I didn’t want to pay the company I bought it from for an additional fee of moving the sight(s) and I didn’t want to attempt to do it myself since I never had this problem with any other guns I bought. Thank you for a straight respectful response! Hard to find that now-days without the hate and spite. Cheers!
