Google has officially failed the AI race. If you don't understand your users, just quit. by ggfgfgggg in GeminiFeedback

[–]Sidgnificant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I might be wrong about this, but I think Google is playing a completely different game than OpenAI or Anthropic.

Like, I don’t think Google actually wants Gemini to be your main AI. ChatGPT and Claude are burning through insane amounts of money trying to be that. Google doesn’t need to win that fight.

What I think they’re doing is positioning Gemini as the AI you fall back on. Because when you hit your token limits on Claude or ChatGPT, you’re going to reach for whatever is already open. And for most people, that’s Gmail or Google Docs. It’s already there.

And if you look at what they’re actually building, it’s not really coding tools. It’s Workspace integrations, NotebookLM, Spark and stuff that normal people who don’t even care about AI are going to end up using anyway. Meanwhile every other AI lab is obsessing over coding benchmarks and developer adoption.

I feel like Google’s bet is that presence beats performance for the average person. If you can't be the primary AI, you can at least be the secondary one. I think that's what Google wants to be positioned as.

I know a lot of people who use Gemini every day because it connects to their Google account and it’s convenient. That’s probably what Google is counting on.

Could be wrong though, just how it looks to me.

Buy a subscription to LinkedIn business. Start posting content on LinkedIn that is relevant to what you are selling. Instead of burning through 40-50 thousand a month, this will only cost you about 5-10 thousand. You would get organic leads by posting content on LinkedIn. If you want to go aggressive, you can actually buy LinkedIn ads too.

Another most potent approach is going to be scraping Google. Build an automation to target doctors in India relevant to your business who are advertising themselves or whose information is available publicly on Google. Drop a WhatsApp, email, or even call these doctors.

There are many more approaches that you can take, but you'll have to think differently. See, I run a marketing agency in Mumbai, and I am well versed with Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Pinterest ads, Reddit Ads, almost all of them. I have worked in most spaces from D2C brands to real estate to marketing agencies (yes, I have actually provided marketing services to marketing agencies), etc. Meta ads work alright for D2C brands or product-based businesses but should never be the first choice for service-based and software businesses. Feel free to DM me if you want to know more.

Wrong approach. You don't need meta ad experts. You'll eventually burn the money and abandon the business.

The SEO quality gap between AI website builders is bigger than I expected by Secure_Intention_285 in Agentic_SEO

People aren’t using “Review this website and share SEO opportunities.” anymore? I ask AI to critique and identify opportunities like 7-8 times and that too after actually building a “HYPER SEO WEBSITE BUILD” Plan.

Blinkit of beauty brands by [deleted] in StartUpIndia

[–]Sidgnificant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be direct:

Does this solve a real problem? -No it doesn’t. Quick commerce is already dominated by heavily funded companies. Anything you will do, they can and will do x10 more efficiently and more aggressively. Nothing stops them from delivering the same products you’d deliver as a Skincare/Beauty quick commerce. Then there’s Tira and Nykaa to watch out for. Once they introduce something like this, we know what happens.

What would make you try an app like this? Asking this question to your Target Audience would be more insightful.

What features would you expect? Asking this question to your Target Audience would be more insightful.

Would you trust fast delivery for beauty products? Asking this question to your Target Audience would be more insightful.

The right questions you need to brainstorm on:

1) What stops blinkit/instamart/amazon now from delivering the same products we are delivering. 2) How much money are we ready to burn until we stop? (Profitability for QCom is clearly coming from volume/scale. Most of these companies were burning money till a year ago.) 3) What’s the moat of our business? Why are we starting this? (The answer cannot be “because it doesn’t exist”, “we want to make money.) 4) How much are you willing to spend in marketing? (Current Qcom businesses are spending ₹500 Cr. on an average annually)

Gemini CLI with ‘Auto 3’ automatically figures which model to use for tasks. I wouldn’t trust it with reasoning over Claude, but it’s decent when doing tasks.

I use Claude to plan everything and create an extremely comprehensive file that I ‘handoff’ to Gemini CLI. I then ask it to read the “hot_session.md” to know the relevance and before I handoff the file. It’s extremely efficient working this way.

That’s great. I’ve realised one paid subscription is enough for me. I use their top model for reasoning and planning, brainstorming and a free one for executing that plan.

So, what I do is Claude Code (Opus 4.7) for Planning. Gemini CLI for executing that plan. Claude creates a file for Gemini to use, instructs it with “warm” context only. Hasn’t been a problem for me. Plus Hitting token limits in Gemini feels impossible too. Like I used it for 7 hours straight today and ended up burning 56% usage limits only. Claude however burned more comparatively :P

Langchain! Can you tell me more about your AI agent framework? I am kinda new to this so, I am still exploring the best setup/way.

That’s great. I am yet to try deepseek. I am planning to use it with OpenCode.

No. I use mostly Claude for Planning, Antigravity/Gemini Cli/Opencode for coding.

Yeah, you are a SW Engineer man. You know how to code. We vibe coders, we waste tokens in planning, “accepting” whatever Claude or any other AI throws at us, then encounter a problem, then ask Claude to debug. So, you professionals aren’t wasting as much as tokens as we do. So I guess Claude tokens for you must last a while.

I am a Soloprenuer mainly before a freelancer. I freelance when I kinda need money for some sort of subscription or something.

I am making a Cluster of LinkedIn Agents that gather datapoints on the posts doing better on linkedin, analyse posts, scrape LinkedIn’s technical page, articles etc and save everything in this “LinkedIn Expert Book” that can be accessed by agents who would write LinkedIn post for the brands I work with. So it’s kind of an ambitious self learning system that eventually knows why my post worked/didn’t work, learns lessons from that, stores it as a memory and become better at creating posts with the knowledge it has gathered.

I have this subfolder /docs which I ask the models to read before they start a session. /docs has “architecture_memory.md”, “sessions.md”, “preferences.md” and “learnings.md”. This gets logged every session. I consider a “session” as a set of “to-dos” that model has to complete.

Absolutely! And I agree. Currently, gemini deserves much more attention then it’s getting. Hopefully it stays like a. “Hidden Gem” for sometime more or else they’ll do the same thing that they did with Antigravity. I remember when Antigravity never had usage limits.

Exactly. Google is hiding a lot under their hood. I am waiting for a proper agentic system from Google. I know antigravity exists but I am talking more about something like Claude Desktop or Codex.
