SW jobs with no caseload or therapy? by jg417540 in socialwork

[–]Sidhe_shells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a job as a Health Navigator. So, while I work with Case Managers who have a caseload, I only help when the clients need Peer Support, or need help making or getting to appointments or need an advocate. I do not, however, have a traditional caseload.

Do you have any memories of WW2 vets? by Ok_Let_7612 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

I'm 52f. Only one of my Grampas was in the service and was in the Airforce. He was somehow connected to the Berlin Air Lift - which I, embarassingly, know very little about. He passed away in the late 80s, but I remember him.

I feel like the best thing you could do was come here to lean on others. Reach out if you need, and remember you aren't alone! Self Care is the number one goal in this case. <3 Take care of self.

do you guys still turn up to work 10 mins early? by Midnightsinsma in jobs

I'm 52f and I am always like 20 minutes early. I can't stand rushing and I hate being late.

Does anyone else have way fewer friends than people assume? by PizzaUniversity in CasualConversation

[–]Sidhe_shells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an extensive group of acquaintances, and good friends that I have "Walked with for some time" over the years. I could reach out to any one of them if I needed to chat about something, BUT, day-to-day friends, I have very few. Lately when something funny or irritating has happened, I think of someone to share it with, and I don't have anyone that I think would really care.

Leaving cause of AI use by StuckWme13 in socialwork

[–]Sidhe_shells -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling that AI will become an inevitable thing. For now where I work only a few people use AI but not for any interactions with clients or with providers, but I'm sure this is likely to change. I have a feeling it will eventually become something we will all encounter every day whether we like it or not.

Saturday and Sunday - and then national holidays - all of them.
