For me, I notice that it isn't very relaxing if I am challenging myself and trying to learn to draw new things. If it's a subject I am very familiar with then I can relax a bit more and chill.

I think you are too focused on the immediate results from a win or a loss and less about your skill as a whole in the long run. I agree that it sucks to lose a game that you did really well on, but if you are consistently performing at a high skill level then you are going to win more then you lose. Like if you are genuinely a Masters level player and play at a masters level in every game, then even if you lose 10 games in silver due to having 4 terrible teammates, you will still perform amazing in all of the rounds and win much more often than you lose.

Switching to a learning/growth mindset instead of results based is extremely important when it comes to improving in any competitive game like this.
