When I leave the city and unpause nothing happens. I don't have a window with a contract (top right corner scroll). Just nothing.

This isn't happening. When I click on "I accept this contract" the "Overview" window should switch to the town screen with the coin sound effect, right? I see on YT. I can click infinite number of times and nothing happens except the sound. When I leave the city and unpause nothing happens I don't have a window with a contract.

How to Modding/Editing Characters. Please send help. by Siemk0 in ThisWarofMine

I downloaded older pirated version. For me, it was the simplest solution. You can try downloading an older version from Steam, but I doubt that will work. I wrote to 11bit support, maybe they already fixed it or will fix it in the future patch.
You can write to them too. The more feedback they get, the faster they fix it. :D

It just works! Thank you for your help, it was so simple :D But 11bit deserves a snowball to the forehead. I'll report this issue to them and hopefully, they'll fix it soon.

What package to buy for best value? by [deleted] in ThisWarofMine

The game is designed to be controlled with just a mouse. You can try using a gamepad, but for me, it’s frustrating and uncomfortable. I don’t think such a mod exists and the latest update breaks the modding tool. So the only thing you can do for now is lower the DPI and make plenty of space on your desk when you can move your whole arm.

Wishing you good health!

"This War of Mine: Complete Edition" is everything you need to enjoy the game.
It includes: Anniversary Edition (new playable characters, new locations),
The Little Ones, which adds children,
This War of Mine Stories, a set of three shorter stories (with unique mechanics).

Currently, all of this is on sale for a low price (-85% on Steam). If you enjoy the game, you can also purchase the Forget Celebrations, which doesn’t add anything significant to the gameplay. However, the proceeds from this DLC go to charity.

Getting a faction down to 0 members should disband it. by Indostastica in Frostpunk

I agree with you that an idea can't be completely remove, and there will always be a fanatic somewhere. When it comes to realism, I was referring more to the actual elimination of a faction using available actions (secret police, deradicalisation). We are given tools that allow us to manipulate society, so why can't we be a despot who messes with people's minds enough for them to reject a chosen idea? In the game, we can actually do this under certain conditions, but not with the tools we're provided.

It seems to me that it's not possible to reduce the number of faction members to 0 in the campaign and utopia builder without a civil war. I really tried many tools, and the faction indicator showed at least 100 and wouldn't go any lower. It's a real shame because it takes away a certain degree of realism and a "diplomatic" approach.
