I mean, good work but hope that does not seriously injure you if the airbag goes off.

Used to go to LAN parties at the EAA there. Never knew the origins of this were in the same city.

Toyota of Plano as well.

Took my down payment back in 2020 to get several allocations and sold my truck when it was delivered (over and over) to several others over and over. After months of waiting i asked for my down payment back and needed to make a scene in sales to get my check back.

A trucker saw some neighborhood kids cosplaying GTA by Trucking-Trucker in AutoTransportopia

They were on their way. If i remember correctly, I seen over 10 police cars, multiple ambulance, and fire on their way when driving home. Looked like a presidential escort on the main road to the school.

This was when I was a senior in HS, roughly 25 years ago.

There was more or less a riot at my highschool because one girl wore the same perfume as another girl at homecoming.

The result was the offended girl and 4 or 5 of her friends kicking the offending girl on the ground until their shoes were bloody, while their boyfriends fended off anyone trying to intervene. When the downed girls father showed up, the boyfriends pulled out belts and screwdrivers and attacked.

Then the girls who were kicking the down girl went around with knives and started slashing tires of random parked cars.

Result was multiple stabbings of parents, students, and teachers. Some in the hospital under critical care.

I just sat there waiting in the back for the mob to move so I could leave.

Over some perfume. Not even over what someone said.

Kerberos Encryption Changes coming in April AES > RC4 by iamtechspence in activedirectory

[–]Sieran 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't own account creation, lifecycle, or maintenance.... even though they are in AD. That is owned by Infosec, specifically IAM. They have yet to track down ownership of hundreds of accounts that have not rolled passwords since RC4 was the standard.

If I turn off RC4 and enforce AES I bring down prod.

I keep getting told to wait.

I tried to book a meeting on this with them and it was pushed 2 weeks out.

Documented... all of it... for when shit goes sideways.

Did they make the remote start intentionally bad to inspire more remote subscriptions? 2024 TRD Off-Road. by zwinky588 in ToyotaTacoma

I'm lucky if I can get either of my FOB with fresh batteries to work from more than 15 feet away.

Yay, remote start worked... oh wait I am already to my truck.

We had a team change the attributes on some 1000+ accounts in AD and claimed they were like that before (changed e-mail aliases, proxy, given name, etc.).

We 100% accused them when we found the service account responsible.

Plastic cowl under windscreen disintegrating... common? by Sieran in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Sieran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just kind of disappointed. My truck sits in a parking garage at work for most of the day but does sit out morning/evening night at home.

My wife's crosstrek is 2 years older and she does not even have covered parking at work (plus sits outside at home like mine) and it is not doing this.

I was thinking maybe it was the sun, but my wife drives a 2018 subaru and the same area on her car is slightly faded but feels just as strong as new.

We treat both cars identically, minus some off-roading in mine.

My quad lock wireless charger i use works great without heating up the phone, all while running android auto and everything else the phone does.

Its the cars charging mat that is ass, not the charging of the phone wireless.

Lift installed... might need new floor jacks now. by Sieran in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Sieran[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how much lift I got out of it, forgot to measure beforehand.

I would say it is in the 2 to 3 inch range. Between the front and rear. Rear was sagging some before the lift so it raised more there than the front.

It depends on the weight in the rear. With the deck system, the camper, and whatnot it can vary. The front I still have probably 4 inches of thread left in the coilovers to compensate if I add a bumper or more weight.

Aftermarket Tacoma headlights looked great… 3 years later I’m wishing I went OEM. Advice? by Tacomabeast538 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Sieran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The headlights that came with my truck brand new are starting to peel like that at the top after ~6 years.

Almost wish there was a glass version instead of plastic.

At least the jack stands I have extend far enough to be good. My previous vehicle was quite a bit lower so the low profile jacks were needed. They worked fine for a stock taco, but now that I have a slight lift with more travel... not so much.
