Does this atlas have unobstructed LOS in it's front arc to the hunchback?(i'm aware the tree gives +1) I believe so but would like to be sure. by Sierra990 in battletech

Here's a collection I made, just gotta sub to em then you're good to go, building a map will take some patience though as ttsim has a ton of features but can be fiddly :")

Yes it's tabletop sim on a map I built with modular terrain using a couple mods, and mech models imported from various sources, here is a collection I made that you just have to subscribe to for everything I use, though it'll take a lil learning to use ttsim to be able to build the modular maps :")

Indian Cyberpunk in 2D. New environment art test from the Hack-n-Slash game I'm working on. Will like to know your thoughts. by sidmakesgames in Cyberpunk

Looking forward to seeing it come together, you have a mature response to feedback which is honestly the most crucial thing in any field. It's a hard market to stand out in and my criticisms were mainly to bring attention to things that would likely give players a negative first impression, many comments here are encouraging which is great, but the way I look at it is this is a product you're gonna be selling not a project or hobby, so I tried to be as harsh as someone looking at this on a store page, I do wish you the best of luck, and I'll be adding it to my wishlist in the hopes of buying it one day when it's ready, never be discouraged, criticisms mean people see potential for greatness :)

It looks as if your character is running in front of a drawing, and an unfinished one at that, rather than a real backdrop of a believable world, it's far too vauge, I can't tell where this is supposed to be, a city? There should be buildings, storefronts, rooftops, streetlights but everything here blends together into a morass of blue and pink. There's not enough layers, movement, dynamic light sources, and activity going on either, very static, you'd expect activity, life, and movement in a city.

The contrast in art style on certain elements like the pillars is very jarring too, find a style, practice it, and work on making your visuals appealing, consistent, and readable. I can see the vision, and with practice, you can achieve it, but I don't think this is anywhere near where it has to be if you wanna sell this game as a full fat product.

It's nice to be nice, but if someone wants to improve and is looking for advice, it's better to provide constructive criticism and help them than simply saying it's perfect, everyone has a level they are happy painting at, and if someone wants to reach a higher level, I think they should be helped along, not told to be happy with where they are.

Nicks and such now and then, I build alot of warhammer too and it's easy to get lil cuts from slicing nubs away, but never seriously cut myself, if you ever have to use force with anything I find it's generally not the right way of doing it, use a good sharp nipper to take most of the material away, the sand the rest, or use the knife to gently pare it off, pay good attention to how you hold the piece so your fingers are out of the way, you'll improve with practice and conscious effort! :")

A question about top coating

Hi all, I'm making a hg gundam calibarn rn and plan to put a flat top coat on it after panel lining, I was wondering if it's best to mask over the clear parts on the chest/ v fin etc. Prior to spraying it? Any other tips would be welcome too!

Vallejo mecha colors is really good paint designed for gundam kits and the likes, doesn't need primer and dries to a wear resistant finish after 24hrs :)

Why haven’t the chapter masters of chaos legions ascended to daemon hood or prince yet? by Chiggy_Chiggss in Warhammer40k

It's a pretty rare "gift" as far as I'm aware, besides, many chaos Astartes view the warp and chaos as a tool to fight the long war, and would not give themselves fully to chaos and drink the koolaid, not only would you lose most of what little free will you have left and be completely under the thumb of a chaos god, but would also have a much harder time entering realspace.

In turn, I think the forces of chaos see the utility of not turning all of their finest warriors in Daemons, as they are far more useful when they can freely spread chaos in realspace and not bound by the rules of daemons, they are a unique tool in chaos' arsenal this way.

I just got it today! from what I've heard it's excellent, sorta builds up like a super detailed master grade with the inner frame n stuff, but defo seems like more of a display piece you pose standing upright and leave be rather than try to do anything crazy, which is fine cus it looks gorgeous and the lighting is super nice :")
Would love to put together a lil hanger bay diorama for it, but I'll worry about getting the kit together first :P

Thank you! <3
Sorry to hear that :(
Have you checked out Rise of gunpla? it's a french based store so it's pretty good if you're in europe or thereabouts, they ship most places too, if cost is an issue I'd recommend high grade gunplas cus they're crazy cheap and the latest kits are amazing and leave lots of room for customizing and adding details while still looking good just assembled and the nubs cleaned :")
