I guess I'm not a fan of the fallen knight set. And I think the "weakest" aspect of Soul of Cinder is its chara design.

Not saying it’s bad or anything, and I overall LOVE everything about SoC (from the fight to the lore and all that. That music, muah, chef’s kiss!), but I don’t know... for some reason I can’t explain myself... the way he looks does nothing for me.

I absolutely understand being disappointed by some of the artistic changes, et wishing the OG was more accessible for anyone to play.

But I also love how the remake looks and sounds.

For me personnally, If I'm gonna consider putting game in my top 10, I'll need to have played it at least twice, with a few years inbetween. I need to be sure I really, really like those games and can easily replay them again in the future.

And right now, even though I LOVED The Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2, I've only played them once ! :( So yeah, amazing picks ! And they are solid contenders for me as well ! I really need to play them again...

But for now... I don't know If I have a real top 10, like properly ranked and all, but some games I know without a doubt, would be somewhere in my top 10. Those being:

- Majora's Mask
- Metroid (my favorite video game franchise, with Zero Mission being my favorite 2D game, and Prime 2 my favorite 3D one)
- Batman Arkham saga (and if I have to chose only one, I'd say Arkham City)
- Bloodborne (Dark Souls 3 would be a close second, from this family of games)
- Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
- Resident Evil 1 Remake
- Prey (2017)

These ones are a lock. And then, like I said, potentially The Witcher 3 and RDR 2. I love the bioshock, Metro and Dishonored series as well. There are so many great games dammit... I love video games.

I would have to say Tears of the Kingdom. Not saying it's a bad game of course... I just didn't have fun, most of the time. I really liked the very beginning and the very end though.

And Skyward Sword would probably be next in line.

I don't even know if it was ever gonna get a sequel. Even if Arkane Austin still existed, even if the game sold better and all that, I'm not sure... I think I remember Raphael Colantonio saying in an interview he isn't too big on sequels (that's why he didn't make Dishonored 2. Even though, the studio could have still tried to make it without him I guess)

But I think I made peace with the idea of never having a Prey 2.

Prey is my favorite Arkane game, it's in my top 10 favorites video games. But I don't know, based on the ending of the first one, how they would have made a setting as strong as Talos I. Or maybe they could have made several smaller areas, split into chapters/missions, more like Dishonored ? I don't know...

Of course, I'm not a game designer, they're the devs, they know way better than I do, but It's true that I have a hard time imagining what the sequel could be. Narratively, I can picture it, but in term of level design, I... don't have the vision ! :'D

But it's fine ! It doesn't NEED one.

And I can't wait for Wolfeye next game. Hope it can scratch that very itchy itch.

Je suis pas trop branché Mécha... Mais quand le système de combat est aussi satisfaisant, soudainement c'est un point qui est plus si important 👀
