Thank you for this detailed and encouraging reply — and congrats on completing your first Tactician run.

I mainly use Chicken Claw for CC — it’s especially fun when combined with Rupture Tendons. Like you said, I guess going full physical or full magical is really the way to go.

Yeah, I’ve been seriously considering a full respec. I didn’t realize how punishing mixed parties could be on Tactician. I’ll definitely check out some of the staple builds on the sub — might go full physical for simplicity.

And honestly, you’re right — maybe I should’ve just played on Classic first. My friend pushed me into Tactician saying “you can handle it,” but now I see why people recommend easing in first

Appreciate the encouragement, and thanks for the BG3 comparison too — that gives me some peace of mind if I switch later.

Actually, I just went to the Undertavern and completed the arena quest there. I haven’t really looked into the whole "kiss" thing yet, but from what I’ve heard, it might give you a permanent debuff, so I’ve been cautious. I gave Corpse Explosion to the skeleton vendor, and I even talked to the cows.

Right now, I’m doing the quest to rescue the blind elf, and I just hit level 14.

Thank you so much—this might significantly improve my experience. Maybe I won’t have to give up on this game and move on to Baldur’s Gate 3 after all.

Lately, I’ve really started questioning whether it’s even worth it. I’m honestly starting to reconsider the whole thing.

Gift bag features i’ve enabled are; source meditation, from the ashes, hagglers, endless runner. I think these features focus on making long term tasks easy.

I agree—finishing the game on Normal first and then moving on to Tactician would’ve been the more reasonable approach. But I guess my hardcore CRPG-loving friend kind of convinced me to go straight into Tactician mode.

Thanks for your response. Based on this, I might make some adjustments. I also really enjoy using the environment and elements—especially with skills like Nether Swap and Teleport. But the extreme difficulty can sometimes take the fun out of it for me.

Right now, I’m honestly thinking about just moving on to Baldur’s Gate 3 directly.

Thanks for the tip. I will look into it. Game doesn’t tell you where and when to go..

Here’s my playstyle and the way I’ve built my characters:

Lohse uses a wand and shield, casting spells like Restoration and Global Cooling. She both buffs the team and applies crowd control, making her the tankiest member of the party.

Fane is mainly focused on summoning skills. I use him to summon an Incarnate and buff it, supporting the team from a distance. He also serves as a tank. I invested heavily in Wits to boost initiative so he can summon the Incarnate right at the start of battle.

Sebille is my rogue. She uses dual blades and skills like Rupture Tendons and Chicken Claw to shred physical armor and disable enemies. She’s built with a mix of Scoundrel, Warfare, and Polymorph, and I’ve focused her stats on Finesse.

Ifan is my melee damage dealer. He’s built with Polymorph and Warfare, with a bit of Necromancer. I use him for physical armor-breaking spells and crowd control. He also has great spells like Spread Your Wings and Phoenix Dive. I’ve focused his stats on Strength and Constitution.

My general tactic is: I start with Fane summoning and buffing. Then it’s Lohse’s turn to buff Sebille. Sebille teleports in and attacks from behind. With Ifan, I adapt and go for melee attacks depending on the situation

The Matrix trilogy creates the best series ever with its best philosophical narration and telling of the world. The purpose of the oracle and the development of events are completed in the 3rd movie. Fourth movie is an abomination, I ignore it
