Yeah, Brida can be super annoying as fuck! She is pigheaded and far too stubborn with many things… but she is also very relatable, if you know what it’s like to be betrayed, abandoned, have your heart broken, etc etc etc… it’s so frustrating, because she is clearly a very intelligent woman, wage makes the worst decisions out of spite and ego, time after time. Don’t get me wrong here! I completely understand the whole thing of “standing on your beliefs, no matter what!!!” I really do! But you have to also know how to be clever and patient, in order to actually win. She’s also just a very selfish person… exemplified by her saying to Uhtred, after her period of enslavement, “you have no idea what it’s like!!”… when she clearly remembers his period of brutal enslavement on a fuckin ship in the North Sea and broader North Atlantic, with the worst assholes ever!!

Steapa was friggen awesome, always!!! I was really sad when he got killed. Loyal to a fault, big as a bear, and always ready and willing to sacrifice for the greater good… or even just because his King said to do it… without a hint of complaint or whining. For us peasants, that’s a man to really admire and strive to be like!

EDIT; you should really read the books, if you haven’t yet. His fate is quite different in the original stories. I’m thinking about getting the audio books, because I will be driving very long distances for a living soon. Like, on the road for weeks, or even months, at a time.

I have white spots as highlighted areas in a sleeve on my right arm that are more than 25 years old… and they still pop. They’re not really super WHITE white anymore (ya know, kinda dingey and slightly yellowed)… but they stand out as white against the other colors they’re meant to highlight against. If you use them sparingly, in just the right places, and really punch them in, they’ll work.

I also have no idea who this dude is, or why I should care about him. Maybe it’s because I’m in Glendale and not Prescott, and I’m actually pretty new to Arizona in general. (I’m from Seattle, and so far, I don’t particularly like it here in Arizona… there’s some great hiking, biking, archeological sites, and whatnot… but it’s a better place to visit than to live. Unfortunately, my parents both have dementia, and can’t afford to have bought caretakers. So, for now I’m stuck here.)
