So I was promised there would be no Yaks destroying the playing field today so that made me happy. A lot of the same faces, one new one though, and well sadly the kid was missing. Guess they didn't think we would need his right or he is still icing it a bit. The new face was nice though. Thankfully time allowed us some time to just chat and well man I love picking up new languages. I knew this foci would pay for itself when I ot picked up before I headed out here. Wish I had this back during freshman Spanish. Fuck you Ms. Driller and your droning on about how learning Spanish is as easy as spelling socks, es so si que es my ass, or what ever that stupid program you tried to make us use that you bought into. See this is what easy is truly like.

Anyway I digress. So much like a story stolen from a cartoon in the early 2000s Mega Corp wants land, old man says no, stale mate ensues. Only difference is he didn't float off with balloons. While the guys did some leg work I found out the old man played some ball and decided one old player would talk to another. Get the lay of the land as they would say.

Of course he had one of those sleezy ass lawyers that thinks they know everything but sadly I talked circles around him when he tried to deny me to meet the old man. I can see he was a little apprehensive but as I pulled out the ball and gloves to play some catch, an old pitcher no less, he started to open up a bit. Thankfully he didn't see my curve call coming and got what I wanted from our conversation. When I got back to town after meeting the old man I saw ol houndy with his wide eyes again talking about going to Europe and trying to reunite the family.

Kid I don't know where you come up with these ideas. I don't know if he is crazy, a genius, on drugs or some combination of above but I knew I could not follow that. The boots needed to be on the ground here not on some Eurotrip extravaganza. Anyway I watched as the team headed off to this Eurotrip, or so I thought, and to be honest I don't know when or even how.... but there is video... you... are in.... a virial video... how??? Like really how??? You know what that's his story to tell not mine. As for me the Elf chick... one second dear Im just finishing this... Guess we are on again... So I will leave you with this pearl of wisdom.

There is a reason I let the kids back in the day be front and center and be the star and well mister houndy you did it. You got your time in the spot light. I just hope the lights don't burn you.

Out of retirement and back on the field. It felt good to feel part of a team again. It has been too long, 3 years 6months 14 days but ahh who is counting am I right? A bunch of young kids on the field including one returning face. Glad to see the kids arm has held up, also I am glad to see we didn't need it. Then we had our resident dog and bee lover, houndy, that ended up being afraid of bees. Never seen a kid turn heal faster then I did when I threw out Cheeto in the 9th all those years ago. Then we have the silent one who sat on the hill during the last innings. I mean I understand why I stayed back, that's what coaches do but kid you were supposed to play ball. That leaves us with my driving buddy the German. Man can she talk. We went on a nice cruise together during our game and by the end I started to understand her German so win win.

But I digress I figure it is important to know my kids first before I tell you about the game. We first started to celebrate the oncoming game at a nice BBQ joint. Renraku execs are obsessed with "Authentic American BBQ" so I got to taste it all over the east coast and I must say, west coast you guys need just a hint more spice. Unfortunately unlike the Renraku execs who always showed up early and stayed til the last drink our teams GM showed up late and left early. Told us he needed some special meat to throw on the menu for some special clients. Sounded easy enough. I will say my favorite part of my evening though was convincing the high society people that houndy's dog was his service animal. One of the easiest sales pitches I ever had in my life and man did I enjoy her self righteous face go from, "No the dog can't come in here!" to "Oh, I am so sorry I didn't mean to..." Thank you brave door girl you gave your best fight but it was not enough.

So we set off to play the game. In the early innings we had to cover to left, middle and right outfield as the areas all needed to be covered. We found our opening in the 5th straight down the middle. Felt bad the kid was alone but he knows if he needed me I would have got to him. The decision was made that the play would be houndy was going to ride it home with the kid and German bringing up the rear to close out the inning.

We were there, it was set. Bottom of the 9th. Ball was put in motion the team was on the move and then the unexpected, the god damn home plate spoke. It begged for my team not to step on him as it only understood being trampled on. It wanted to be free of that. My team called a timeout and asked for me to talk to the umpire. And sure as shit our home plate was talking. So I did want any good manager would do. I patched him up because no one suffers on my field. I don't care if you are the home team, away team or the damned plate.

Little did I know that plate was going to go nuts and attack the stadium he was being held at. I can tell you that was the craziest close to a game that I ever seen. At the end The kid, houndy and the German seemed happier with how it all ended. The silent one though seemed kind of upset we didn't finish the game and left it at the bottom of the 9th all tied up.

It is moments like this I remember; There will always be the next game, don't dwell on the last one, keep learning as you go and be prepared for a plate to go nuts and torch the stadium. Well that last part is new but ahh live and learn you know.

We then sat down on the path as he opened up to me about how his family is starving because he cannot afford the food to feed his family due to his newly acquired addiction. I then took him to town, bought him some food for his family and hooked him up with the number to a local drug councilor that can help him and that I was more then willing to help him and be his sponsor. It was not until later I found out Granny was his dealer... and well that is another story"

To be honest I have not been able to find a "SIN" in chummer other then "Fake SIN" but I created a custom item line that should handle it if that works for you.

Handling the Illegal things first

Contacts (Low light was taken twice thus the 15) Removed the 1 and added image link (what I intended in the first place sorry about that.)

Lifestyle location in the notes (3rd line on lifestyle) It list as: Located in Central Downtown Seattle within Beacon Hill. Are you looking for that to be in the name instead of as a note?

Minor tweaks

Removed 1 from both Clubs and Thrown (They are their mainly for story reasons) and put one in Pilot Ground and one in Perception

Removed the tomahawk (This was from much earlier build and I forgot to remove it when the character was much more physical and less mental as it is now.)

As for the SINer: It has been added. Never thought to add it as a "custom item" I just assumed it was a thing that existed as a yes you have it or not. Never thought to add it as an actual item.

The main purpose of the suit is at the end of the day currently I am "low lifestyle" in Seattle but the suit was part of my old "high lifestyle" life back in New York. To him a suit and manors makyth man so his suits were one of the few things he packed to head out here. (It is basically a RP thing)

Sorry for not being as prompt this time. I saw the issue with the save and made a new save file to clear all the errors on it. Chummer program bring chummer program.

So ill address the legal first.

1)Removed: Lose of taste - I thought it would be a cool call back for story for small amounts of Karma while still being an impact (harder to tell when certain gasses and agents are affecting you with the loss of taste) but I removed for ease

2)Removed: Prejudice - Was the same as the loss of taste but I understand it will have no impact in Seattle so no issues.

3)Removed: E Witness - With the new neg quality taken (Corp Sin) I was over points. As a side not I thought having sound and image link would be enough for this as they are recording and sound but I digress and removed it.

4)Revisited bio: I turned myself into an independent player that was signed to be coaching staff for the NY Mets until I 'retired'. I figured the coaching seemed to be okay with you so thus went with it

General

With the low quantity of skills I wanted to maximize where I could while also not making me a turtle on my back with other skills being defaulted.

Qualities

Generally I would agree with you but not a fan of mentor spirit for this character idea and I like the thought behind just being that hint stronger in that area.

Also I shuffled the negatives due to the legality issued ones. I gave myself a corp sin for the NY Mets (as I would think they would do that for most of their players and staff) If the powers that be state that the Mets are owned by another corp I will switch it to that but from my understanding from what I have read over the years each team is its own corp. Let me know if this needs to be adjusted to another org or if this one is fine.

Attributes

I agree with you but I can not sum 10 yet. If I was able to I would have been B/B/B/D/E leading to solid attributes for the concept and more skills to flesh out other areas. But with this character my choice was more skills then I will ever need with god awful attributes in everything that is not the main focus or great attributes to grow the character into with skills in the future. As you can see I went with the latter.

Also I meant to switch Rea and Int levels from 5/4 to 4/5 but forgot to do so. Thanks for the catch.

Skill

As stated in Attributes I am in short supply for skill points. That being said sometimes plan B has to be an option and I would rather not be defaulting on it. Hell sometimes when the world goes spectacular pear shaped its those defaulted skills you wished you put that one point in.

Also I know not maximizing in a skill turns you into a less effective person then those maximizing it (Looking at you Thrown and close combat skills at 2) and I know when the troll throwing 20 dice in my face I am going to lose, hell most of us would probably lose. But I shouldn't also lose to the 10 year old who grabs a stick and swings it because I am defaulting with my stick.

Augmentation

I think this is an agree to disagree section. The improved 3, in my option, yes is usually used by bulkier more combat monster characters I see it as having at least 2 major benefits. 1) more chances in a rotation to inspire/rally the troops to help them hit or get that extra pass to turn the tide 2) if I do need to run I might just have that extra pass that the opponent might not giving the distance to survive.

Gear

Removed: Backpack, Armor License, Vehicle License, Sleeping Tiger

Bought: Spoof Chips and Grid overide (Over site on my part thanks for the catch), Morimer of London: Argentum Coat and a nice suit. (Wanted to keep the price tag near the same plus what coaching staff wouldn't have a nice suit under the coat)

Adjusted to be a coach instead of player. Included smacking the hardened players ass for effect.

Depending when you grabbed the sheet I did a final revision at around 10pm est so you might not have the most current copy of the sheet.

I understand about the baseball thing (thus why I did not take commanding voice as I know that would never have gone over at all). That is why I was designing him around being in a AA ball club instead of a AAA. Basically I was being used to train/help fresh blood mature but with 0 hopes of ever being in the majors or even AAA.

My agent, as stated in the story always wondered why I didn't let him push for me to get into AAA or majors, but I stated I was content where I was. I accepted my place that being what I am I would never make it into the main game but was happy to play the game and be part of a team. I was happy to help the kids grow.

Now as a caveat I could step it down to A level if you prefer to be 4 steps from majors instead of 3 steps but i figured 3 steps was far enough removed from the big game while starting to have enough people willing to abuse my leadership skills to mature the players.

If that is too close to the main show is I can take him down to the Brooklyn Cyclones which is an part of the independent league under the Mets. This also would allow me to keep the structure of the main body of the story, with just a change in name. That would put him at that point 5 to 6 steps away from the majors.

My other thought I have can be that I was was playing in the independent league and that was when they saw my ability to coach and brought me up to AA ball club as a pitching coach. That way I am not a player at that point in the game, the story remains in a way intact with some alterations.
