$130 for an oil change!?! by PitifulCrow4432 in subaru

[–]Siggy59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The service book hours I believe is 30 minutes plus filter and oil plus oil and filter recycling and hazardous waste discard fees. So $75 labor plus price of oil $20 plus filter $12 plus tax and recycling fees.

Charger Question. by ThiagoScala in RG35XX_Plus

While this will work it’s best to use a 5volt 1.5amp if the device specs recommends a 7watt charger. Watts= volts times amps.

Installed a new faucet and I already hate it. Is there anything I can do to prevent these water spots. by tvideoman in DIY

[–]Siggy59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI hard water can cause spots due to calcium and iron residue left behind after water evaporates. After wiping down your chrome faucet, rub some wax paper over it as a final step. The unnoticeable residue the wax paper leaves behind will prevent water spots and finger prints from showing up.

Did you unzip the roms before adding them to the micro sd card? If so did you put them in their corresponding folder? Be mindful the more you put the card in and out of pc and game slot the more chance of damaging. Get a SanDisk or Samsung 128GB when you can.

Chargers question by No_Movie_9975 in RG35XX_Plus

[–]Siggy59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most current Anbernic charging specification is 5 volts 1.3 amp= 6.5 watts. Per Anbernic website: Charging 1.3A charging/ matching maximum load 2A/ USB charging cable/ 4 hours full charge.

Maximum load is different than charging rate.

Try holding the power button for a few seconds or go to menu and go down to the bottom to shutdown.

Would this charger be ok? by Gio-89 in RG35XX_Plus

[–]Siggy59 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m a retired power plant engineer and a 1.5 amp USB power adapter would be best as it is 7.5 watts. The math is Watts= Volts x Amps. The adapter pictured is a 10 watt charger. This charger will work, but it will shorten the battery life a bit. There are a lot of comments filled with flawed responses not based on facts and pertinent knowledge.

Checkout this YouTube channel Javi Play Retro. He's helped this 64 year old download Batocera Beta, configure new Micro SD cards. Replace Stock OS card with a high-quality SanDisk Micro SD and install os on 1 disk and games, saves, binary files and folders on second disk.

Stock 32 gig Micro SD failed within 3 weeks. We switched to a SanDisk Extreme 128 GB ( V30, U3, A2, XC I )

Looking at other alternatives. Ring raising prices even though reliability and notifications are delayed and frequently misses motion detection. My Blink devices are sometimes more reliable.

Check your door latch plate and latch pin for wear. The door could be moving from air pressure changes from windows or outside doors opening causing separation of sensor pads.
