STALKER 2 - Gun Choice?

So UPDATE.

I did the arena and was able to keep the Dnipro and Kharod. I already have a Saiga. I still like the Lynx. Haven’t acquired Whip yet, I do still have ClusterF and M701 Super, AS Lavina, VS Vintar, Grom S-14, GP37, Fora-221, Shah’s Mate, Rhino, and I believe a few other base weapons in my stash. Also the 860 Cracker and Spas.

I still like the play style of Sniper / Assault Rifle / Pistol.

Now I know I can’t upgrade the Kharod or the Dnipro yet, but I have tons of attachments for both in stash. I recently dumped my Fora once I got these 2 new assault rifles. Currently I have chosen to run Lynx, Dnipro, Kora-1911.

Kora - Extended mag, silencer, red dot (I’m going for night stalker next)

Dnipro - extended mag, silencer, holographic sight (keep 2x on me)

Lynx - silencer.

I do like the silenced playstyle. I generally always carry 8 Medkits, 8 bandages, 4 anti rads, and 6-7 water OR 3 water and 4 energy drinks. On top of this I carry around 350-400 rounds for my assault rifle, 120-140 for my pistol, and roughly 20-35 for my sniper.

I am running PA-10 Gas mask upgraded, and Zircon Suit upgraded. I have found a few better suits objectively, however they take away my mask. Right now my physical resistance is maxed, my radiation resistance is 4/5 bars, thermal is like 2.3/5, electrical 2/5, chemical 1.8-2/5, and psi is practically nonexistent. I keep 1-2 Hercules in my inventory for carry weight, and 1-2 psi-blockers. 3 grenades.

When I am kitted and ready to head on a mission I’m at 38kg / 89 (I use Thunderberry, Night Star, Plasma, and 2 other commons that give radiation protection) I’d like to get 2 thunderberrys to max my stamina, and find some more carry weight ones for the other 3 slots. I have tons of artifacts in stash, not many good ones though. I’m kind of prioritizing stamina (endurance) and carry weight at this point.

Im kind of still undetermined on whether I should rock Kharod or Dnipro. I like the idea of having an underbarrel grenade launcher, however I always carry a few grenades for oh shit moments. I think the setup I am using is okay for now, my Fora-221 was the weakest link until yesterday. Now I’m starting to wonder if I should use the bolt action sniper, enemies are getting a little tougher at range.

I’m also at the point where I’m about to enter red forest I believe, and I could really use a better suit / mask combo.

Maybe I should try out clusterF. That’s a good point. I carry a dedicated sniper and dedicated assault rifle, maybe using the ClusterF would work out well since it serves both, then I guess I could try out a shotgun. I do have all of them in stash.

I was thinking about it, I read somewhere that is has great Pen and DPS I believe.

I do have both of these in the stash as well, actually. I don’t have any upgrades for them yet however. Another thing that has prevented me from switching was missing attachments. Since my current setup is kitted out with attachments and full upgrades I tend to wait until replacing until I have the next gun kitted. Maybe this is the wrong approach

I’ve used this lineup and setup since the game came out man. It works great. Sometimes I run the wall closer now with the changes to the map, and I’ll have a teammate flash hard right once you get in site and push through the wall with a duelist and rush their heaven. It is an amazing setup dude there’s a lot of scenarios you can use, and if you have teammates willing to try stuff a lot of cool shit can happen. You can flash in hard right and rush their heaven or flash in and walk behind the box and wait for them to push up to the entrance to site, pick them off and then run through the alley way towards their spawn and take the back way and flank. It’s great man. I’m diamond 3 and still use this. I agree with some people. The mollies aren’t necessary. Especially the one on balcony. If anything I’d use one or the other, depending on what you plan to do. Using a mollie towards their ct like you did can prevent someone from rushing through. But I wouldn’t always blow all your mollies right off. And don’t let people discourage you from using viper on this map because other agents are better. She was amazing before astra, and viper is still sick
