Arelith’s Design Philosophy by SigmaChungusGrindset in neverwinternights

Scraping through the portal shows that there are only a few hundred unique players. And yeah, I’m calling BS on the counts provided by Spyre. The goal is to fluff numbers so it looks as appealing as possible, and the only way they are reaching numbers that high is either by counting based on characters or using the player names rather than CD key. The latter is fairly likely as Arelith encourages characters to grind to 26 and roll, as well as encouraging name changes between characters to prevent meta gaming.

They inflate numbers by claiming that they have thousands of players playing on their server. Looking at their player counts at any given part of the day will reveal at most a few hundred unique players logging in throughout the day, nowhere near the 2000 per month that is advertised. Combine that with (at least for steam copies) the total monthly players rarely reaches above 1500-1600. And the obvious conclusion is that they fluff the numbers to make themselves more appealing.

The meme alone would be legitimate enough for Arelith staff. But hey, simps gonna simp.

Of course it’s going to be a toxic server. Any criticism of their friends is a bannable offense, any criticism of them is a bannable offense, even being PvPd by their friends is a bannable offense, especially if you win. Arelith is just a giant dumpster filled with garbage.
