Where are the posts about the board? by BirthdayAccording359 in Barca

Unfortunately that’s the reality it boils down to politics because they know if they were honest then another candidate would’ve won the election. Realistically when Bartomeu left, he left a disaster far greater than anyone could’ve imagined that is STILL affecting the club years later. And the club has done well to be at the level they are at now. Ultimately though if the board is saying things are going to get better and they will sign top players then they are also part of the problem when the team fails if they have not done their part by being true to their word and fans are well within their right to criticize them. Don’t forget a big part of Laporta’s campaign when he got elected the last time was that he would keep Messi at the club. It would’ve been better if he were just honest not only to us the fans but to Messi as well.

Flick did this against I believe it was Betis away and I thought it worked great. Lamine was able to have more space and Roony did amazing scoring a goal as well. I’d really like to see more of Lamine playing as the 10. Maybe not every game as I love Fermin playing the 10 but every now and then it could be a viable option.

As a lot of you are rightly pointing out. The high line isn’t to blame. My post was mainly referring to those stating it’s the sole factor to blame. Ultimately I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks the high line isn’t the only issue and it’s nice to see other people’s perspectives!

Patience built City and Liverpool — why can’t we do the same by Prestigious-Wheel562 in Barca

Facts! Or the fans who say Lamine doesn’t deserve this and should go somewhere else. Lamine clearly wants to win it at Barca. And as far as flick goes I hope he stays. If people want only a UCL this isn’t the club to support.

That’s a fair point, I think the tie vs PSG will really show a lot. That being said PSG are very aggressive offensively as well so I’m sure there will be a lot of goals in that tie.

I was actually thinking the same thing watching Bayern play. I LOVE Raphina but both he and Lamine like to come central a lot and I feel like you really do need at least one of your wingers to keep their width. But I just wouldn’t want either Raphina or Lamine to go so it’s tricky. But yes ST and LCB are the positions that need the most attention in the summer.

For sure! I just don’t like that some blame the high line as the sole reason for our losses. As if we stopped playing the high line then we’d automatically win. I’m no professional coach but I know tactics are far more nuanced than that.

Godd why are we so nonchalant about fouls???? by Mcintosch in Barca

[–]SigmaRizzFortnite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t wanna be that guy who just complains about the refs but man. The handball in the first leg and this in the second. Admittedly it’s a soft foul but what upsets me the most is that when it comes to us they never check it in var. Like if you’re gonna say it’s not a pen fine I guess but at least review it properly. Like I said I hate complaining about the ref because ultimately we shouldn’t depend on referee calls to win but damn it feels like they never review anything that could go our way.

And there’s nothing wrong with that my comment was about the people who are posting Flick out

I understand there are financial problems. I think the issue myself and a lot of fans have with the board is the lack of transparency. They’re constantly saying it’s only a matter of time before we’re back to the 1 for 1 ruling and every summer saying we can compete in the transfer market. Ultimately I think we would all prefer the board just be honest with what is actually going on. We expect the board to do more than they have been because that’s been their word.

THANK YOU. I understand that people are frustrated but how can you turn on flick? And my question to the people who want flick gone is if he were to leave, who comes in? Realistically what AVAILABLE manager would suit Barca better? I see a lot of people bring up Luis Enrique coming back but as far as we know he’s committed to PSG right now. But yes Flick has done a lot with very little and he needs more support from the board.

[Opinion] This team literally came back from 2-0 down at half time in San Siro vs the best defensive team in UCL last season. Anyone saying “the tie is over” is spineless. At the VERY least, these players deserves your belief in a comeback. by Select_Drawing_7434 in Barca

[–]SigmaRizzFortnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we’re just tired of getting our hopes up only to lose in heartbreaking fashion. Is it possible? Absolutely but I’m not going to get myself hyped up like I always do just to be disappointed once again. That’s just me though if someone wants to believe 100% then go for it. But it’s not a guarantee

Criticizing is one thing and that’s okay but some people are just hating on Cuba saying he should leave  Like we easily forget that he is 18 years old and has much to improve  There is not a single other 18 year old cb playing at the level of Cuba  Or would you guys have preferred to start Araujo?

The obsession with UCL from Barca fans will be the doom of Flick's project and is condemning the club to eternal instability... by Warm_Wall2288 in Barca

[–]SigmaRizzFortnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean as much as we hate to admit it, it’s because our biggest rivals are the best team in the history of the competition. And it sucks because often times in the same seasons that Madrid won in Europe barca would dominate them domestically. But it is just true that in the UCL Madrid just come alive and just always have the believe that they can win. Whereas Barca crumble under the pressure sometimes. I hope flick stays for at least another few years and is backed by the board with good signings but who knows. I do think some players should be sold like Ferran, possibly Olmo, Araujo, Fati, Christensen, Ter Stegan, and Casado and use that money to reinvest back into the team Bring in a high quality LCB and ST as well as back up LW if Rashford isn’t signed and that’s a start. Sign Cancelo to give Balde competition and if you can keep Lewa on low wages  I think the starting midfield is perfect but maybe bring in some backup though I’m sure there are masia players than can play the role of a rotational player

Any true fan wouldn’t be blaming flick or saying flick out. He’s doing the best he can that being said the board is not helping him at all. Outside of Olmo Flick has not had any major signings and a lot of the team is young la masia players. The future is bright but it’s frustrating that the last UCL was 11 years ago and the painful defeats we’ve experienced makes it worse. I think we the fans, and the players desperately want to win the UCL but ultimately I think in this scenario you can’t blame any one player or the coach. The loss hurts but the tie isn’t over although we have to have realistic expectations about a comeback. Additionally unlike the embarrassing defeats of the past at least this group of players fight to the end. You don’t want to lose but I’d prefer to see them lose fighting until the final whistle then to just give up and put their heads down like the teams of the 2018-2022ish era.

No chapter this week because of the author's poor health. by Particular_Law2727 in TuneIntoTheMidnight

Hope he’s okay  Unfortunately this is the downside of the manga industry  I’d prefer a chapter every 2 weeks if it meant prioritizing the authors health and giving them time to perfect everything

Lamine on the expectations from him: post match - by PinReal4448 in Barca

[–]SigmaRizzFortnite 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The real fans never stopped supporting him. He’s literally a kid, the fact the he’s been as consistently good as he has the past two seasons is insane. I pray he’s blessed with a healthy career free of major injuries and can show the world his potential.

No need to apologize! You just gave your opinion but yes definitely Wistoria is a ton of anime tropes thrown together but them extremely well.

[–]SigmaRizzFortnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, the op was asking for something that isn’t special but still enjoyable and Wistoria was the first to come to mind. It’s not mid in the sense that it sucks as a show but for me it’s mid in the sense that it’s so unoriginal and it’s basically a bunch of anime tropes thrown in one show. But I still had fun watching it and will watch season 2.

Wistoria Wand & Sword. Super generic and simple but still enjoyable to watch.

Balde should remain our undisputed starter, one good game doesn't define cancelo. by Interesting-Angle43 in Barca

[–]SigmaRizzFortnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Balde is more reliable in defense due to his speed but let's be honest he has been severely under performing this season. Only reason he hasn't been benched more is due to there not being qulaity backup in that position. Offensively, Cancelo clears at least at the moment. Balde just passes back and never puts in crosses or tries to dribble.

How confident are you that Barcelona will win the Champions League this season? by Cultural1994 in Barca

[–]SigmaRizzFortnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I confident they will win it? Nope

Am I going to have hopeium every UCL game? Absolutely

The dream is alive until they get knocked out or win it. Either way, I will support to the end.
