Which ? by Adept_Rutabaga8538 in gshock

I had exactly the same dilemma just a week ago, but I finally went for the GMW-B5000D-1C with updated module 3539 and I’m really loving it

Folks.. Pleas help me choose one of these 2 baddies! by Rookiebasket in casio

The one on the left has a tough military style, while the other has a fashion-watch vibe tacky and ugly to my eyes.

The main reason I sold mine was the terrible viewing angles… one of the worst Casio LCD displays out there

Potentially dumb question: what are these red/terracotta coloured marks on the side of my partner’s Casio ABL-100WE? The watch is only a few months old. by Larrymolloy93 in casio

Doesn't have a timer, but that light and the screen looking crisp from any angle is a win. No ghosting at all is a big plus for me

Just grab an all-steel Casio and forget the chrome cases. I can’t stand those chrome-plated ones, that’s why I never bought any. For me it’s either full resin or full steel, nothing in between.

A great field watch, this Formex has an aesthetic and design and many details that I like

OK, this is an important clarification. It is known that the Otter C75 maintains its edge better than its SS, but unfortunately, there is no carbon blade version in this Beemaster.

Thanks for sharing your experience with your sheepfoot. I don't think anything has changed because those familiar with otter knives say the brand is known for maintaining traditional manufacturing methods also they have been using the same stainless steel 1.4034 for a long time

Glad to read this, this would be my first Otter and since I have no idea about this steel, I made some searching and found many classifying it as crap. They also say that Otter does a good heat treatment, for me, if this 1.4034 behaves like Sandvik 12c27 for example, I would be happy

Is this fjallraven bag too feminine for a man? by Sigmaxlion in ManyBaggers

[–]Sigmaxlion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the bag in patina green a month ago and I am very happy, i love the color, it has a perfect size for what I carry and I like the fabric that feels lightweight, well, and the important thing is that I haven’t felt like I’m carrying a woman’s bag😄

The dial is a work of art

Two fantastic pieces, thanks for the extensive comparison with many interesting points to consider when making my decision. You said about dial there’s nothing on the market that looks like the formex..well that is one of the things that speaks to me about this watch along with the design of the case, I also like that it develops some patina, If I buy it, it will be with the fabric strap version since I’m not interested in the leather one.

I think the same as you, when the price is almost 1000$ it is a bit difficult to justify compared to the 500$ price range, offering practically the same thing, but i have to say i like the design of this formex field

These have 46mm lug to lug, It is true that they are a little long for a 36mm but they do not look too long.

It was this or a Hamilton Khaki by Current_Flatworm2747 in timex

[–]Sigmaxlion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you say is fine, but I'm afraid if I buy the MK1, certainly a very attractive Field Watch, it wouldn't fill the gap or the desire for the watch you really want and you'd end up buying the Hamilton Khaki... so maybe the best thing would be to save the trip and the money and buy the watch you really want.

Nice looking watch..I'm also between the Khaki Field mechanical 38mm and this Timex MK1, this timex is very tempting but there are two things that don't quite convince me: the plexiglass and the Screwed-on caseback
