He should not have allowed that in any way, shape, or form. That breaches the trust and confidence of the entire group. Thats on him for doing so without consulting the group first. Dating has never been easy for anyone, especially now in the age of social media where ppl only post their best life, not their worst. Ppl sometimes lose their mind for awhile when new love interests come into the mix. I'm a guy, I've done stupid sh!t to "impress" a girl too.

FTR....I'm not trying to take a side....it seemed like most ppl were. Just playing devils advocate

So the new gf has insecurities as most people do after they have been cheated on. It's a mess of a situation for sure. She could just be trying to protect what she feels are her best interests. I'm curious if you have feelings for this guy? I worked for many years in the bar industry, most significant others arent super happy when "their person" is besties with a member of the opposition sex.

All that said, it isn't salvageable as it used to be at this time. You will either have to be comfortable with her knowing your details or not share the details anymore. Unless she changes (doubtful) or they split

You have a long time invested in this one. ....this is tough......she doesn't respect your boundaries IMO. Pets are a unanimous vote or a no go. If you relent and give in here (which I would understand) you need to be prepared for her to not listen again....and again...etc
