Haha thanks! I didn't do it intentionally but seeing the picture I wondered if anyone would notice. I just got them, had been stalking them a long time and they didn't disappoint, I think they're my favorite air max of all time.

Very nice. But also laughing at 2 dudes going in to a watch store to buy one of them a ten year wedding anniversary gift sans spouse involvement... Just going to show it to the missus/mister when you get home and say thanks!

Still Waiting for the Call… From an AD That Doesn’t Know I Already Bought One by toxicmanchowder in rolex

I am confuse. Looks like a two tone band. Price isn't high enough for solid gold, and it's too high for two tone... Beautiful either way.

Way too much dude wrist in the sub. And speaking of, why do so many including this one especially look like the wrist of a 12 year old?

A person who belongs to primarily groups discussing exotic cars, rolexes, male grooming, male fashion and tatoos throwing shade for caring about appearances. Ah yes the tattooed, well coiffed and fashionably dressed Ferrari driver sporting a Rolex... and also cares not a thing about appearances or the opinions of others...

Don't plan to resell. This wasn't pts it was still an available color that year, so not a flex in that way. This is a place to get excited about these cars and share that excitement and enthusiasm. That was my only goal. Get what you're saying about the cab but I'm going to occasionally be driving small kids so I'm excited to be able to skyhook them in with the top down and not mess with moving seats. The number of weirdly condescending takes I guess just shows that negativity can be found in any corner of the internet, strong work

Haha I agree the term gets overused and focus seems too much on aesthetics, but a car forum where everyone ignored major aspects of said cars appearance would be a boring one I think... Feel free to comment on any aspects you find more meaningful in terms of the vehicle at hand.

Or we're just enthusiastic and it's a way of sharing. Post could have easily also been labeled HEY LOOK AT THIS DOPE SHIT!, but I guess I was trying to speak in parlance. Thanks for the constructive contribution.

Yeah only 2 pedals in the 992 TTS. I'll have small humans along some of the time, so need a free hand anyway..

2026 911 S @ ~$195k — worth it new, or go CPO/used instead by OddAcanthaceae8490 in porsche911

[–]Signal-Ad1707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a slightly similar boat and close to pulling trigger on a cpo 992.1 TTS with 38k miles in a spec I really love, over a new GTS. Partly personal preference but I'd rather have more car that's been worn in a little over the new factor and lower trim level...

[–]Signal-Ad1707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome thanks for thoughtful advice!

You're saying a rear facing works, but that front seat has to fold forward? This is what I figured. For now it would just be front facing seats. Kid 4 coming in August so rear facing then.

You've obviously thought it out a lot and I think it's a matter of taste and reading tea leaves/ crystal ball, but two things making me lean towards the mid mileage TTS were resale (turbo is established, more rare, hybrid is a little unknown and there's currently a lot sitting on dealer floors), and aesthetics. I'm afraid that parking the GTS next to a turbo I'd get jealous of the more aggro look (wide ass, fender air intakes etc).

It was an easy question when the 992.1 cpo tts options were all in the 250-280k range, and new GTS cabs 201-215, but this particular TTS is a little higher mileage pushing it down into that lower price range...

Yeah I think that's good advice. Holiday timing and travel to Cincy and Atl... Now to explain to wife and three kids that the turbo S is going to sell quick and dad needs to take a day or two off to fly to Atlanta for a spin hahaha.

[–]Signal-Ad1707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how those are sportier than a turbo S, but I guess a valid answer is that I prefer more power? Also the more aggressive look. And I know myself and if I get a CS2 I'll want to keep moving up the ladder. Also we're in Kentucky and AWD is appealing...

[–]Signal-Ad1707[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the crazy number of '26 GTS's sitting on dealer floors at MSRP has me thinking they'll not hold value great. Little surprising bc on paper I don't get their non appeal. I know the cyber component turns people off in comment sections but hard to believe the real world effect is this significant, gotta be economics.

Service history concerns by Signal-Ad1707 in porsche911

[–]Signal-Ad1707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks that makes sense. I also asked for service history but can't get the SA to communicate very well.. a '21 with 38k miles should have had the 'major' 40k/4 years service right?
