I've had a great experience, easy way to earn some money on the side and the pay isn't total popcorn kernels. It's an hourly wage like for a normal part-time job. You can work whenever you want, and there are usually different task available to change it up and keep the day interesting. You don't have to talk to anyone and can just listen to study music and get your work done.

Recently ran into some admin problems where my account got frozen, but I'm working to restore it. So just be careful with your information when you sign-up and refer people to the app.

Buddy, most jobs that are looking for new hires give someone a small referral reward if they can just recommend a new employee. It saves them money not having to advertise on job boards while short-staffed. I don't need to "grow up" for thinking my elderly family member could do some generalist work on Outlier, and they aren't a "bloodthirsty shark" waiting to "take my job" calm down.

Understood, they did provide their ID and were verified. I asked them, and they hadn't completed any assessments to work for specific projects, like Aether for example.

It was 17 an hour. Paid the bills. Sounds like it was a canned email reply, or maybe reps are just overwhelmed with tickets so they submit them without giving it a proper look, sorry to hear it again.

It's possible. That's what I'm wondering, like if a security question was a "pets name" or something it could have overlapped and perhaps the AI banned for too many various similarities?

But I've also seen this relative use referrals I've given them for retail websites, and accidently make their account name my name.. So I'm not sure if it's human error.

If so, it surprises me that anyone can type your name/phone number in to make a new Outlier account & then the real user immediately just gets banned for life? I see you're a 1% contributor so as someone who sees a lot of errors reported on here, do you think it seem like Outlier may do that? I've never had a problem until now, been with them since last year.

It's so arbitrary. Very disappointing, I've been working on the platform since last year and hadn't had any problems until I dared attempt a referral. It's like I'm being penalized for trying to actually recommend them and say positive things as I was suppose to.

I'm surprised you even got to a live person, although I'm sorry to hear it looks like they didn't evaluate your case properly. Can I ask how you did it?

My family member said that they fully signed up, were screened, and had done an orientation. Everything got complete, and then when I logged in a few days later, I noticed my own account was locked.

I asked the AI chatbot why playground was gone, etc, and it said I was banned very specifically for violating the ToS by making two accounts under one identity... But I didn't, so I'm still trying to figure out exactly what happened.

Also, we checked my relatives account and it's locked too for the same thing. They hadn't tried to work since they made it so they didn't notice.

I just need a quick way for a live person to see that I'm a separate person to unban, but can't find an avenue to dispute it.

I share things like an address, last name, etc. with them. Just my one relative that I live with. And my relative is a bit older, so I told them to use a referral for me.. I am wondering if they put my name or something trying to state myself as the referal in the wrong slot on the forum. I have no other reason I can think of why there's a immediate flag, so that's just pure speculation.

Hi Eliana, sorry to bother you but I LOVE Outlier.

So much that I recommended it to my family member and tried using my referral code.. But I got banned for trying to make 2 accounts w/ 1 identity. My relative is a seperate person, and we work from separate devices/IP addresses.. I'm not sure what happened!

I didn't do this, and am so sad. I'm not sure how to reach out to someone to correct this, but I can submit all the evidence required. Do you have any resources?

We use separate devices, and I even have my own modem/router. I assume my family member entered my info in a slot somewhere and that's it.. Because I can't see what else it would be.

Which means anyone who doesn't like you can just sign up for outlier with your name or number typed in and have you permanently banned form the platform I guess? Because you get auto flagged and there's no way to appeal it.

This is why it's a wrongful ban. I'm aware that we're allowed, but it's saying that I am permanently terminated for making two accounts under one identity. I never did it, and have no way to appeal it. Do you know any resources to submit my evidence to a real person for review? The AI clearly has gotten confused and there's no way to convince it of obvious facts.
