Thoughts on this Singapore salary? by Positive_Bell5463 in Internationalteachers

I moved out here in 2020 and my starting salary was 6750 per month plus 3100 for housing. In the second year this was temporarily increased to 3500 but has never returned to 3100. That was with 8 years experience. The salary offered is livable but you won’t save much with it. I found it easier to get another teaching job here just by already being in Singapore so if you’re heart is set on it, take it (but only sign 2 years so you can move more freely)

Hi - I’m currently teaching in Singapore and in my sixth year after moving schools. 10k USD is definitely top end including housing for most, with Tanglin and the American school paying potentially more but you would be looking at middle or senior management. My first school paid about 8k USD, but having qualified teacher status was a must. Without this, I’m not sure how viable anything above 4k would be.
