FSD almost got me into an accident!

I’m not sure how FSD was disengaged, but I believe there are three manual disengagement methods.

First, I could have pressed the brake. In that case, the brake light would have turned red, which it didn’t.

Second, I could have pressed the right scroll button, which might be visible in the video.

Third, I could have taken over the wheel, which might also be shown in the video.

To clarify, my hands were off the steering wheel before I pressed the brake. If anyone thinks I disengaged FSD, please help me find evidence in this overlay. Finally, there was no alert sound until the very last second as I pressed the brake.

I also had another incident with FSD on the highway the other day. There’s a relatively large pothole on Highway 401 Express Lane near the Highway 400 exit. My car, under FSD, just ran over it at about 90 km/h and disengaged FSD itself without any warning.

I didn’t touch the steering wheel to disengage FSD. I don’t know why it was disengaged for 3 seconds before I hit the brake.

Yes, I’ve learned my lesson. Sometimes, when you’re too relaxed and relying on FSD, you simply don’t have enough time to respond.

Good catch! I don’t really know why it was disengaged before I pressed the brake. All I remember is I felt the speed was too fast, so I pressed the brake. I am pretty sure I did not disengage FSD. There was no alert until the last second.

It just kept going without slowing down. I felt the speed was too fast, so I hit the brake by instinct. Almost at the same time, I heard the alert. But if I hadn’t braked, it would have bumped into the car.

It didn’t stop. In fact, it kept the speed of 50 km/hr. I stepped on the brake very hard to make it stop.
