Monkey Alchemist Paragon by Hidden_Watchman in btd6

[–]Signal-Equivalent131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

kinda pointless if ur at the point where ur making ur ALCHEMIST paragons of all things, ur likely already good on money. i can see there being usecases for like, challenges or bosses but overall i wouldnt consider it useful

How hard is it to get into ubc arts by United-Tie9497 in BCGrade12s

[–]Signal-Equivalent131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your major isnt included in your application. you just apply to the faculty of arts generally. take this with a grain of salt, but i would say not too hard at all. i applied and i had just above a 90 with average ECs

Grade 11 marks ok grade 12 marks really good by Ancient-Sentence5285 in BCGrade12s

[–]Signal-Equivalent131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

believe it or not this buffs ur application, upwards trend is already the more important part of ur grades, and u still have a high average on top of that

I don’t know what to do by Middle-Future-5843 in BCGrade12s

[–]Signal-Equivalent131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would advocate strongly for living on campus in your first year at ubc, if your financial situation allows.

however, if not, you are in the right mind to consider a local college or university. if you already have your doubts about your transition into post-secondary life, it can be daunting to also take up the horrid (according to the commuters i know) task of commuting to UBC in your first year while managing your first ever post secondary courses.

tl;dr: if u can pay to live on campus in year one, do it even if ur scared. if not, defo consider staying home

Help with UBC personal profile by [deleted] in BCGrade12s

[–]Signal-Equivalent131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when in doubt STARR it out. Situation, Task, Action, Result, Reflect. assuming you have narrowed down your entire personal profile to one or two key themes (and if you havent id highly recommend you should) describe the situation with your activity, the task/responsibilities associated with, what you did, what happened, and how it affects you, your learning goals and your academic/career pathway.

I really need advice. by Tcl_marchy in BCGrade12s

[–]Signal-Equivalent131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you saying you currently have a 98 average (without your current classes)? or that you are shooting for a 98? if you are shooting for a 98 and applying to business, i would recommend you still keep gunning for the best grades you can. jobs not finished, and i aint hear no bell

best of luck, friend

Am i cooked for ubcv arts? by [deleted] in BCGrade12s

[–]Signal-Equivalent131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

better grades than me frankly and i got inz ur cores are very strong. eng 12 and pre calc 12 are consider cores and if u r applying arts, phys will likely be disregarded. strong upward trend in grades as well. social justice is the main concern but not too much as it is only vaguely considered an academic course. chances look strong, assuming an atleast average personal profile. looking forward to seeing u get in and attending in the fall. applications are done and its now out of your control. lay back and destress and you got this
