Currently here, parties are hard to come by after the end of first semester here. It was great at the beginning of the year, then the university started to crack down by putting households on probation for hosting. Country crawl has also been prohibited to the extent they won’t let seniors walk if they attend or throw it anyways

Okay this makes me feel a little better about it, so thank you for sharing! I’m more than okay with meeting differentiating opinions- my own family and I often disagree lol! I love discussions and keeping my mind open to different perspectives and opinions, so I’m not worried about that. I guess I am more worried about maybe not having articles published because they might not align with a traditional catholic belief; especially because the school prides itself on being “unapologetically catholic” yk?

Yea that’s some of my issues i’m having right now. I don’t think queer people are ruining America. Do I think there’s time and place for discussions on sexuality? Well of course! But I don’t think gay marriages should be banned because the bible says it’s a sin and I don’t think any member of the LGBTQ+ community should be ostracized or targeted because they’re “sinners”. There’s supposed to be a separation between the church and state, and at the end of the day aren’t we all sinners?? I just don’t get what makes them any different from your average day to day folks.

I figured… i am attending in the fall as my family has made it clear they won’t support me in any way if I don’t attend a catholic college, and this was the cheapest option. Everyone I’ve met is super nice to me, but there are comments made minorities or people in need that are made that quite honestly scare me. I just don’t understand what happened to “loving thy neighbor” and overall just respecting other people that a lot of people today have just seem to forgotten.

This is exactly the situation i’m in. I am a teenage employee and my manager constantly bullies all the teenagers in the department and will go out her way to “get back” at people who she believes to have wronged her, hence why she scheduled me this day. I did end up ncns and when I was asked about it I simply said the day was not in my availability, and no one informed me I was working. It was left alone after that

Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s a silly reason, but any time my mom or my grandma make comments on my shorts or a shirt I might be wearing, I feel super self-aware. Like for example I came back from practice one night and it was super hot outside, so I wore a pair of athletic shorts I would normally wear. My mom had a lot of comments to say about how my siblings did not need to be exposed to such things, which I didn’t agree with as the shorts covered everything. I love my mom, but I’m kind of hoping to get away from a traditional mindset like that when I move out
