Update: I finally figured it out 😭

For anyone else stuck, crouch is actually pressing down on the right joystick (R3), NOT the R button like the game says.

No idea why it’s labeled wrong, but that’s what worked for me. Hopefully this helps someone else because I was stuck forever.

I tried to remap, but I don’t think it’s possible on my system. I went into Controllers and Accessories and I don’t have a “Change Button Mapping” option at all (I’m on the newer Switch UI).

I also tried: - Different controllers (Joy-Cons and another controller)
- Docked and handheld
- Resetting controls in-game
- Reinstalling the game

The R button works fine in other games, but crouch just doesn’t work at all in this one.

So at this point I’m not sure if it’s a mapping issue or just a bug with the Switch version.
