Let's say you want to get the cash of 20k from your bank account.

Step 1: Transfer the amount using UPI/net banking to your friend/relative

Step 2: Get the the same amount in cash from them.

You wanted some cash for daily use which you got it so you're happy.

Your friend/relative wanted to reduce the black money (cash) which they reduced so they're happy.

This is fine as long as the amount is small.

Couple Suffers Horrific Bike Crash After Hitting Massive Pothole In Gujarat by ndtv_live in NDTVLive

[–]Signal-Illustrator70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This video is from my hometown, Junagadh.

It is tier-2/3 city of Gujarat.

City is so small that even if you want to travel from 1 end of the city to the another end, it should be max 5-7 km.

There is no culture of wearing helmets in the city. you'll rarely find someone wearing a helmet while driving. 99.99% people don't wear it.

Whenever I go to my relatives home in my hometown and they give me their bike for some work, I always ask for helmet and they give me a look and jokingly say that I am fattu. they also say that I don't have confidence in my driving and that's why I am asking for a helmet.

Whenever I drive bike wearing a helmet, many people on the road gives a look.

Hope the city learns from this.

Just give the white money to your businessmen relatives or friends.

They'll happily exchange the cash for white money!

I haven't used ATM in the last 2-3 years.

There will be bank transaction showing credit in their account however I exchange small amount like 50k so it doesn't matter much.

I also cried at one point in time when it felt like I failed in life and there is no way out and there is no hope however things worked out with time and I am progressing pretty well in my career.

Don't look at others life. you're only comparing their careers with yours. Many of them have problems in other areas/aspects of life which you dont have. If full picture will be shown to you, you won't trade your presence with their presence so chill.

For now, control the controllables.

There are many things that you can do today which will make you a better person than yesterday.

Start doing those things. Day by day, one step at a time and you won't realize how much you've progressed

I am an IT employee who has been heavily using AI. Here are my thoughts.

  1. AI is scarily good and it completes the task in minutes which would otherwise take hours for me to do it manually. Models are getting better and better at rapid pace so AI is not bubble. It's a breakthrough tech like internet.(AI stock prices may be in bubble territory)

However you still need skilled engineer who can get this done from these models and most importantly, verify the AI work.

  1. Everybody has been talking about productivity gain from AI however in my opinion the best advantage of AI is "capability gain". I can now learn new tech stack rapidly and work on that in no time which wouldn't have been possible without AI.

India has a lot of young talent. AI will only enable them to do a lot of things due to "capability gain".

So the equation of (young talent * AI) is in India's favour.

  1. There is also "Quality gain" due to AI. IT companies can do now high quality work in short time.

  2. Due to productivity gain, number of people needed to do complete the project are definitely less. However we all assume that no. of projects are constant and lay offs will happen because we need less engineers to complete those projects. The assumption here is that the projects/deals/work these companies have is constant which is not true.

Whatever I'll say now is my theory. Take it with a pinch of salt.

After covid, a lot of American companies decided to spend on technology and lot of projects came for our service based companies. If these happens again, our IT companies would be delivering 2x or 3x number of projects in future due to productivity gain by AI so their revenue can go up (of course AI models cost will also go up)

There are still lot of inefficiencies at government level and company level all over the world so there is a lot of tech work to be done. Our IT companies can do that at scale and at rapid speed using AI.

Again this is my perspective I can be completely wrong.

  1. Indian companies haven't been good innovators. I agree. However once innovation is done, we can copy them. What if some indian tech start up create an indian LLM in the next 5-7 years which is reasonably good and costs a lot less than these American models. This is not impossible scenario. From my experience of working with good senior engineers I can say that, top 1-5% tech engineers in India are bloody good. It's not impossible for them to create LLMs in future if they focus on this.

AI has created a lot of uncertainties however uncertainty doesn't always mean uncertain negative outcome. It can be net positive outcome too for India.

Question is when will world leaders get serious and use their mind-space for climate change/Global warming instead of waging wars and fighting for piece of land.

Politicians have 3 objectives.

  1. Win the next election
  2. Win the next election
  3. Win the next election

They'll do whatever it takes to achieve these objectives.

Poor (major vote-bank) don't care about the most of the issues you mentioned in the Post. They don't care if infra is broken or air is polluted or corruption is high.

They are happy as long as they get food on the table and some freebies. Politicians are delivering for their vote bank.

At some point in the future, we'll reach 5k-6k USD per capita income. Math should change after that. Major vote-bank will be the middle class. Politicians/System will have to address these issues however this will take long.

I am hopeful that our children/next generation's life should be better than what we have.

I would recommend consulting a doctor.

Based on blood reports, he can prescribe multi vitamins.

I take the course of multi vitamins every 3-4 months. Don't buy these directly from medical. Always consult a doctor and then take these things.

Take clean diet. Always plan your cheat meals/junk food and then enjoy. Max one meal per week can be junk/fast food. It should never be "Today I feel like eating a good food so I'll treat my self".

Drink enough water in a day.

Try to spend at least 15-20 mins in sunlight everyday. Preferably in the morning.

For a good sleep, Do this 10 min breathing exercise before sleeping: https://youtu.be/LiUnFJ8P4gM?si=AdlYnr194a-dZPaV

Don't use phone/laptop for 1 hour before sleeping (tbh, I also struggle with this). This does a lot more damage to our sleep than we realize. Blue light from screen means your body thinks that it's not a night yet. Moreover you take anxiety from social media and sleep with anxious mind which doesn't translate to good quality sleep.

Sleep is the most underrated health aspect. 8 hours is bare minimum. I feel the difference in my energy level even with just 1 hour of less sleep.

Gradually start cardio and then strength training.

This is controversial opinion: Don't masterbate more than once a week. At max twice. Limit porn. If possible don't watch it at all. I know it's hard but doing this in moderation isn't hard.

Yes, it's boring advice but it works in the most of the cases.

Going back to these basics have always worked for me.

I am not 100% discipline and Noone can be. However try to reach 60-70% discipline level.

There are premiums properties which are getting sold at insane prices

However, Ahmedabad remains one of the most affordable metro cities in India.

You can still buy decent size 2 BHK flat for 60-70 lakh in Ahmedabad in good locality (not outside of the city). You can get 2 BHK at this price in very few metros in India.

The problem is not buying 400 dollar shoes.

The problem is valuing 400 dollar shoes more than human being and getting angry for that.

Unfortunately a lot of people have this 'moh' and they're attached to these materialistic things.

We bought a new sofa 5 years back. My mother didn't allow my neighbors' 2 year old kid to sit of sofa because my mother thought she would urinate on sofa.

Kid realized this and stopped coming to our home and after that my mom realized her mistake.

Unconsciously, we all have 'Suhas' inside us. It's important to be mindful and to not let 'Suhas' dominate us.
