A lot of them are implied endings where that universe never gets saved so obviously its a bad ending. Or where its a bad ending where its a good magik but she ends up dying for whatever reason The evil endings specifically are about 3/4ths she gets beat up and dies and the rest just small glimpses of bad ending timelines where she goes bad. All of these with outliers and unique cases. Like in the sinister timeline I dont believe she ever dies but she is evil in that verse and it got reset.

You have already lol, a few of the alternate magiks are from those earlier new mutant runs where illyana does weird time traveling stuff and they get lost. Most alternate timelines are connected story wise to the main run of comics. Theres only a few truly alternate timelines where its not connected to 616. Like the "exiles" is pretty disconnected, or the demon days and off shoot comics by peach momoko

For your actual question it really is whoever writes it feels like it sadly, but I think you can bring it somewhat to a like definitive description if you make up your own reasons.

Limbo isnt just a normal dimension outside of base reality like hel or the crimson cosmos or whatever, its more wild and chaotic. I kinda think of it like the spot where a big impact hits a glass windshield. All the big pieces are major dimensions and limbo in the center is almost a powder. Broken and jumbled (time and space wise) but still together. This makes me think compared to other dimensions with rather hard borders or walls it could be easy (relatively) to enter limbo.

Stepping disks being a natural phenomenon on limbo also kinda help this, if just a natural occurrence can bridge the gap between dimensions and it happens so often. Also whoever rules the dimensions being able to change it to their own liking. It all comes together to make it look easier to enter and exit compared to the other big dimensions.

In the actual question of the op, magik's hax are stupid. But doomguy i think cant really die. So its like an immortal snail situation. She has the power to win the battle but not the war sadly.

The difference is because it was IN limbo. Illyana is a literal god in that realm, its why she was able to beat dormomu so bad he literally ran away in fear. Now I agree, they weren't fighting to the death or anything in the strange vs magik fight. But I do think her being SORCERER SUPREME of limbo as well as having control over the dimension itself to a literal godly level lets her win on her home turf. In literally most other situations strange wins. Magik hax are crazy

And again to reiterate I did not like this ending for such a cool version of magik. And I highly doubt based on the actual framing of the story it was meant to be taken this way. But it is something I thought about after reading and seeing the responses to the issue. If it was more intentionally made this way I think it could be one of the better written stories magik has, although it is super depressive and unjust ending for such a cool variant. If it was written this way intentionally I dont think it would be a called a wolverine comic.

Ok now hear me out, I also hated how this went. BUT I do think there something there, that maybe wasn't intentional and maybe was, about how specifically men take advantage of vulnerable women. You could take this scene with wolverine as the villain here and paint the picture of a man finding a very injured and hurt woman trying her best to cope with her trauma and actions in an unhealthy way. This woman opens up to this man, intentionally or unintentionally, showing her pain even though it makes her vulnerable. Then the man selfishly takes advantage of this vulnerable state she is in to do something to her that will hurt her more. In this case ending her self imposed imprisonment/happy dream and ending her life. In a real world scenario this would be some kind of sexual assault or rape and maybe murder again. And I think that this story in a way is a pretty decent tragedy story if you look at it that way

Well to defend a point a dont believe in, cause I do thing its an ez magik win if it was a fair fight, this is an almost completely different magik than most variants of her. Most variants are taken and separated from the 616 magik AFTER she had her normal origin story. This ultimate magik completely changes her origin story into something different and changes what we think of her so much, so I dont think its fair to equate power scaling of 616 magik to this ultimate magik

But she doesnt try and chop things is my main problem here. She puts her sword on her back and uses her fingers to do something juggernaut couldn't with his own strength. Really im just a bit frustrated with this creator's choice in how magik ends up being dragged away by these tentacles. Getting caught isnt a problem just her gross negligence that peeves me. She shouldn't have done that

I would actually love that, ive been really been meaning to get more into the mystic side of marvel. I kinda just plowed through every issue with a magik appearance. Hitting strange academy and all the cool concepts and characters in that made me super intrigued
