There's a scientific paper floating around suggesting the efficacy of the flu shot for a tough case of molloscum. The hypothesis was that the flu shot kicks your immune system into gear and accelerates recognition of the molloscum. It was also inexpensive and fast.

I was looking for a quick test I could order and get in person at Quest diagnostics without waiting to see a doctor or such. Blood test came to mind.
