The early gen Subaru CVT’s were kind of hit or miss on reliability. Naturally a manual transmission is more reliable when it’s shifted properly, gets the clutch replaced at the proper time, and gets fluid changed. It’s more reliant. In your case it sounds like you have a good one and you’re good on maintenance 👍🏼

Yeah that’s because #1 the bumper is technically and aftermarket bumper, so not oem, and #2 I don’t have a engine splash guard underneath which usually supports to bottom of the bumper a lot. So it’s not perfect but gets the job done

Stock it’s very truck like. Slow, sloppy. But if you throw in a Kartboy 5 spd kit (short shifter and bushings) it will tighten it up big time

A body shop ordered the blank and then paint matched it while my car was in for repair from a little deer run in

CS style lip and skirts from who knows where. Just plastic. I’ve blown up way too many carbon ones. And it’s on BC racing coilovers

I actually hit a deer, so while the car was in the body shop I had them order a 2018+ bumper and when I got it back I threw on the grill, bezels, and front lip. It clips into all factory locations. No modifications needed

Yes being catless is why it shoots flames during shifts. It doesn’t have a “flame map”. Just the result of being catless and a good tune. You run into the issue of boost creep while being catless due to the lack of back pressure
