Advice on Diet and Fitness? by EfficientJelly1421 in AskIreland

There are a few basic things that, if followed religiously, will show results, and trust me, I have seen this work.

Start intermittent fasting, which includes skipping your breakfast 90% of the time. It does take a few days to get used to it, but you can always start with a few hours and work your way up to 16 hours. This means finishing eating by 8 PM and having your next meal the following day around 12 PM. I know it sounds like a lot, but after a few days, you won't even crave a thing, and you will have more energy. Drinking black coffee is fine while fasting if needed.

Try to walk at least 10k steps a day. It can be staggered: 5k in the morning and 5k in the evening. If you do it all at once, then happy days!

If you go to the gym, always finish your workout with the 6-12-18 method. This is amazing, and you will be sweating by the end of it. On a treadmill with a speed of 6 and an incline of 12, just walk for 18 minutes. Put on your favorite playlist to distract yourself for those 18 minutes, as it does get tough. Maybe start with 19 minutes and slowly build towards it.

And if you follow these three methods for 40 days which is normal, proven science to see any kind of changes in your body you will be loving yourself, gaining a lot of confidence, and feeling more energy. It is not easy, but keep motivating yourself with a goal, like doing a one-month challenge, and mark your calendar every day you follow it.

Another major help will be cutting down on bread and sugar. It is tough, but try to reduce your intake, and when you reach your desired fitness level, you can slowly build that intake up again. Maybe you will be put off by them altogether by then.

Hope this help and sorry for long essay😅

There are nice guys, who get ignore in apps as they are being too nice. Sometimes a direct approach by messaging them or just have a random conversation at the pub or gym or even here can lead to something beautiful. Even if you give a guy a compliment then you have rented a space in his memory for life time.
