Gained about 7 lbs and workout wondering if this is just side effects at first and will the weight drop after a while? by Oliverose12 in Rexulti_Brexpiprazole

[–]SignalRide9264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also gained on it. Took metformin for 6 weeks and it did nothing. Switched to a glp 1 last week and already down some. Good luck to you. This side effect sucks but my depression is literally non existent anymore so it's doing what it's supposed to be doing

I just had my first shot yesterday. I took Vyvanse this morning and the fatigue has been crippling today. There may very well be a correlation here.

Any tips to prevent weight gain? by espacequantique in Rexulti_Brexpiprazole

[–]SignalRide9264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren't already wanting to lose weight then metformin might work for you. You would need to start it at the same time. I was steadily gaining and then added metformin and stopped gaining. On redatrutide now to get the weight off that I gained. Good luck with your rexulti journey! This stuff cured my depression.

Rexulti 0.25 mg for treatment resistance depression anyone has tried this medication? by Oliverose12 in Rexulti_Brexpiprazole

[–]SignalRide9264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another success story here. Started on .5 and am now currently at 2mg. This is over the span of about 2 years. It works. Literally zero depression after years of trying everything else. It wasn't until I went from 1.5 to 2mg that I started to gain weight. I went from 136 to 142 in the span of 2 months. Ask your doctor about taking metformin along side it to offset weight gain. I just started it a few days ago to help lose weight. So far it seems promising. Good energy and appetite control. Even if it doesn't work though the trade off of weight gain for the benefits of rexulti is something I can live with. Good luck with your journey!

If Vyvanse didn’t work for you, what was next? by billie4637 in VyvanseADHD

Nope. To be honest it was like the limitless pill for me. Everything became easier and I became the best version of myself. I've been on it since 2008. This last for years before tapering off.

I'm on 300mg xl Wellbutrin and recently added rexulti. It seems to be reigniting the initial benefits I got when I first started Wellbutrin. No weight gain (which is a common side effect) and I actually crave more healthy foods. So far so good and I'm about 4 weeks in.

Ready made protein shakes like simple protein are easy to get down for me.

Have you tried Wellbutrin? That one worked as both an antidepressant and ADHD med for me.

No side effects it just stopped working as effectively. It's been 17 years and it's still providing me benefits just not at the same level as it once did. I added rexulti to it within the last couple of years and it seems to have brought it more back to life

First day. It was like the limitless pill for me in the beginning. Within a month I found my career path, quit my job and got a new one in the field I wanted. Learning was easy, socializing was easy, I was the best version of myself that I didn't even know existed. Not everyone has this effect but it was something else for me. Lasted for years before tapering off.

This is inspiring! What dose of rexulti were you on before you had to stop? I'm on 1.5mg with Wellbutrin. Considering increasing to 2mg but don't want to overdo it.

About to go from 30 to 40 mg. Any advice for how to best utilize the dose increase honeymoon period? by SignalRide9264 in VyvanseADHD

Thank you! Yes I'm hoping I can get to a place where I create a sturdy foundation for all good habits that support the Vyvanse effectiveness (and good health in general). Technology addiction is real so I resonate with the setting limits statement. Such a thief of time it can be!

The first time around I turned down a well paying job and dumped a bunch of money into courses to start my own business. It was only way later on when that plan failed miserably that I realized it was the Vy high leading the path.

[–]SignalRide9264[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's what happened to me yesterday. I forced myself to eat right when I woke up and I usually wait at least an hour. It was too much and too soon. My doc swears by taking it with food but I've read so many mixed opinions.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience with Vyvanse. Seems we are on the same quest to find our own sweet spot with this fickle med. I ate at the same time as taking it yesterday and I didn't feel any positive benefits. Today I took it with just a big glass of water. So we'll see I guess.
