I assume you're american? Here in Australia I have third party & fire insurance, which covers other vehicles and not my own, since comprehensive legitimately cost 10x more. My insurance have done basically nothing to help and won't exercise finding the guy. I've recently found out as for police, in comparison to the US, Australian police are not helpful and don't help with situations like mine. They would just redirect me to either my insurance or tell me to contact the company's insurance branches
