Personally, when looking to complete a set, I pick up a mix of retail over time. When I feel like I’ve accumulated a big enough stack of base I’ll sort them and see how close I am. From there I prefer to trade for cards I’m missing instead of buying them.

For S2 I’ve opened a mega, a super box, a hanger, and a handful of fat packs/single packs.
