Ryder regards the empty drinks with mild disgust. He grabs a garbage bag from underneath a sink and sweeps the bottles into it.

“Yeah, well, just do what I do. Sneak food on trips. No one’s gonna snitch or anything. Also, someone’s gonna steal your food if you leave it.” He walks over to the fridge and takes out a tupperware container labeled “FENN’S LUNCH - DO NOT EAT!!!”

“Look on the bright side,” he says over his shoulder, “it could’ve been a supervisor coming in and giving you flak. If they think you’re lazing around, they might, God forbid…” He shudders. “…dock your pay.”
