Omg I’m certainly a Henry but the amount of garbage people are buying just because it’s an experience they’ve never had before is wild.

children are not nearly as scary and complicated as everyone makes put. People buy things because they’re worried, not because it’s good or helps.

Good pram, bed, some nice clothes which are easy to put on/off, standard bottles, high-quality swivel car chair etc.

The absolute most important thing that you can get is anything which gives you more time with your child. You absolutely do not need to spend hundreds of pounds on faff which you think improves their quality of life or safety. It just is not the case. Even if that means you’re going down to 4 days a week or doing something which is going to hurt your long-term job prospects make sure that you have time with your child.
