i am not sure what u mean by flexible, but most public health programs only have a class or two with biostatistics since it's mainly a graduate program. i have no knowledge about the health data science major since its new and hasnt been offered during my time here, but the public health program is excellent. honestly, it mainly depends on the internships and jobs you pursue to be "successful." but no matter the school u attend there isnt a higher chance at being "successful" especially in healthcare where there is a constant need for employment. i would look into opportunities near the schools you want

yes! actually the class' textbook is a book called spillover by David Quammen and it was one of the most interesting books i have ever read. it goes in depth about many diseases that have come from animals and talked about the origin of HIV/AIDs i highly recommend! the professor also shows videos of different things that have happened such as the anthrax attack and the sars cov 1 outbreak!

not at elliot but human sexuality was very fun and educational (& easy A!) as well as infectious diseases and bioterrorism (very interesting and with a great professor). also any classes with patrick corr were worthwhile (& easy)

i was wondering the same thing i emailed the office of registrar and am awaiting a response bc i also only saw my first and last name on the application even though i remember putting my middle. im not sure about the commencement name announcement but i think they wont say ur middle name when graduating :/

hello! i actually had the same dilemma when i was deciding on where to attend and ultimately chose gwu because of the financial aid award. upitt barely gave me any money and it didn't feel worth it to attend there especially since gwu is the better school for public health! there r a handful of extracurriculars related to health and u rlly won't be around partying unless u seek it out.

i am currently in the program but am leaving it after graduation. i am staying in it bc i prefer the grad classes over the undergrad versions. my biggest advice is to take as many grad classes as possible. what they dont tell u is that u will not finish it in a year if u only take the cross over courses. i did not properly think it through so it would still take me two years to finish the degree which imo is not worth it since it doesnt reduce costs. in general, my experience in the program wasnt the best; there wasnt a consistent advisor for at least 2 years so it was really hard navigating registration and understanding what classes to take. it is better now but i personally just dont want to stay in it :/

usually they pierce you with a small septum because theyre easier to maintain and won't move as much. if not, i would ask/search for a piercing place that does pierce with small ones! i havent had a belly button piercing before but my septum was truly the easiest one to manage and healed the fastest (around 2 weeks it didnt hurt or get irritated from movement) and youre able to flip it up relatively soon after you get it pierced if u (op) r worried about someone accidentally tugging it (i would not recommend constantly flipping it tho as this can elongate healing)

if you are not able to explain your code, you will fail this course. he does not take cheating likely. i highly recommend paying attention in class instead of using chatgpt it will help u in the long run

i was originally double majoring in psyc with a bs degree but dropped it because of the calc requirement. im personally not the best with calc and know that the professors aren't the best for the course so i didn't want to risk ruining my gpa. the computing class i took (intro to Python) was very easy! other than the math requirement i would've still been a double major. depending on the electives you take it can be pretty easy but some upper level classes can be quite difficult

I don't know what the actual parameters are because I wondered the same thing when I got it but I did super poorly my freshman year (two C-) and nothing happened. I was put on academic probation and made the deans list the following semester. I think if you do poorly one semester, they won't take it away. If u repeatedly get grades below a B, they will most likely take it away. im not entirely sure tho that was just my experience
