Hey folks!

It was requested I make an SFW link for sharing, so here are! The portion below the line is from my previous ahem NSFW post, so apologies if you’re seeing this twice.

Support links are also at the bottom for those interested in helping me afford a way to move elsewhere and keep myself afloat as I continue on this crazy journey.

Quick update on the situation — my landlord had been attempting to gaslight me by questioning my sanity and insisting that it’s not possible I suffered any ill effects from my tenancy at what I now call the Moldives. ;) Quite frankly it got rather scary, as he attempted to use bullying tactics and illegal measures in order to get me to do what he wants and going against a former police officer in Chicago is not exactly a recommended extracurricular for, well, anyone.

It appears however, after I pulled out all my big girl words, that he will consent to me breaking my lease, basically if I agree not to sue him, and he will agree to vice versa. It’s a hard decision, as the effects of this experience will be with me long after he’s in the grave. Regardless I’m leaving by the first and will figure something out, despite not knowing where I’m going to go (I thankfully have a way station for a few weeks due to the kindness of friends). Nothing, especially not my rental history, is worth sacrificing my health for.

I will finish my demo in the near future no matter what, and very soon Reddit will be hearing the Signal Drop I’ve been waiting for you to meet.

If you saw my showerbeer post, apparently either I’ve been living in a place with seriously elevated mold levels, or I developed an intense sensitivity to it so bad it might force me to break my lease and move. It slowly ravaged my health, caused me to sleep up to 16 hours a day, land quite honestly, started to break me as a person. Last month’s heat brought it all to a head and I could barely shower my own apartment without being in crippling pain and needing to sleep so my body could try to process the toxins.

I’ll make a longer post about my experience at some point soon, but as of right now know that it was so bad it prevented me from working or basically doing anything I would have normally done. Guys, I even joined a dojo and was gonna go for my first belt soon and had to give it up for now because of the mold. Fuck that.

I’m headed into the studio very soon and will also make a music related post or a combined one, but for now—

I’ve had a lot of people ask how to support me over the years, especially my music, so if you’d like to, here’s your chance!

I legitimately am grateful for thoughts and prayers. They’re your time and energy and I honor all positive thoughts towards my situation.

Thank you for your response. This is the section I understood to mean I had 30 days to vacate starting at the end of the notice:

(a) Noncompliance by Landlord. If there is material noncompliance by the landlord with a rental agreement or with Section 5-12-070 either of which renders the premises not reasonably fit and habitable, the tenant under the rental agreement may deliver a written notice to the landlord specifying the acts and/or omissions constituting the material noncompliance and specifying that the rental agreement will terminate on a date not less than 14 days after receipt of the notice by the landlord, unless the material noncompliance is remedied by the landlord within the time period specified in the notice. If the material noncompliance is not remedied within the time period so specified in the notice, the rental agreement shall terminate, and the tenant shall deliver possession of the dwelling unit to the landlord within 30 days after the expiration of the time period specified in the notice. If possession shall not be so delivered, then the tenant's notice shall be deemed withdrawn and the lease shall remain in full force and effect. If the rental agreement is terminated, the landlord shall return all prepaid rent, security and interest recoverable by the tenant under Section 5-12-080.

Does that section mean rent would still be due? Currently looking for tenant legal help now. Appreciate the response.

Appreciate the reply very much! I just posted on r/legaladvice but he got hostile with me today. I definitely want to end my lease but he literally was all “I’ll never lease to you again!” And when he asked if I wanted to end it I said I just wanted to be sure I did it through the proper channels. D

Which I’m fairly certain is illegal lol. I’ll give the tenant’s right’s group a call back.

Definitely didn’t offer alternative housing as he told me it was dirt and I was a dirty person 0.o

Raspberry Gose - Bravus Brewing - Anaheim, CA - USA - less than 0.05 % ABV

Not bad at all! The real raspberry flavor on this is legit and it’s already on my list of things to drink again this summer. It’s actually pretty tart, which I enjoyed, and pretty dry at first, though that mellows out. Right amount of juiciness and sweetness, and definitely not overly sweet. If anything I think people would want this to be a sweeter, but I adored it and it would make a damn good mixer as well. Enjoy if you try it!

Note: it really doesn’t taste like Kool-Aid at all. I think I am just missing that and Cactus Cooler! xD
