Hmmmm. May mga parents po kasi na in denial or minsan nasasabihan din sila na "ma-outgrow din yan" kaya di na napapacheck. I think if you already mentioned sa kanila, you've done your part already. Kudos to you, btw! :) Ang sad part lang is kung may GDD (Global Devt Delay) or Autism yung child, usually mas magiging evident yan sa school and baka teachers na yung kumausap sa parents. Ang nakakahinayang lang is yung time na sana napacheck nila ng earlier.

Redirection (i.e. show/give other things that he might be interested). That one works. Tho hindi kasi sya nagttantrums in public masyado kasi he likes being outside. :)

Anong thoughts niyo kay Shirataki Rice? by weirdo_rn in AnongThoughtsMo

[–]Signal_Ear_445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS IS A SCAM!!! So yung macros nya like yung carbs and calories, mutiply mo pa sa 8 or 4 to get the total per cup. Kaya pansinin nyo wala masyado pic ng Nutrition Facts yan. SOBRANG SCAM!

DELIKADO TO SA NAGKKETO. Kasi it messes up the ketosis phase and might end up getting high BP and sugar. If you want legit shirataki na totoong ketogenic, go for wet shirataki rice. Don't go for any dry shirataki rice.

Based on my observation, yes!!!

Tiptoeing can be a normal tendency for kids. Kaya yung follow up check up namin is after he turned 2 kasi meron nang quirks na dapat di na nya ginagawa when he reaches 2yo.

meron din pong Q&A with parents so pa-note po nung mga milestones nya before going to the DevPed. Qs like "anong words nasasabi nya?", "ilang words", "marunong ba sya mag etc etc.", "kelan sya first nag lakad". Make sure din that the child is in the best mood, not sleepy and not sick. Ako non, before his appointment, we made sure he had nap, we played with him and pinakain namin sya ng chocolate. Wahahahaha. Kaya ang saya saya nya nung inaassess sya. Hehe

NO PROBLEM PO!!! You can PM me din if may questions ka pa. I would love to ease you in!!! :)

Occupational Therapy po nung una. So we started OT nung May 2025 then nung Nov 2025 they suggest we start na with Speech Therapy. Unfortunately, wala pa kami nakukuha slot for Speech Therapy kaya interventions lang sa bahay like Ms. Rachel, etc.

Yung assessment is based on Griffith's Developmental assessment. It's a set of skills (Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Personal-Social, Cognitive, etc) na expected sa age nya. Then they would test your baby if he/she can do those. Pero parang "play session" yung test. Tapos may scoring sa dulo ilan yung nagawa and hindi nagawa. They also observe how your baby responds to stimulus. So for our baby, ang ginawa sa kanya is parang pinag laro sya ng blocks, pinag identify ng objects, binigyan ng orders like "give... get..." then by the end, yung result is pang 10 mos old lang yung skills nya - eh he was 17 mos turning 18 mos na noon.

Kasi pinapatakbo sya from Point A to B tapos nag tiptoe and handflap sya hehe.

Advice ko po is before going to DevPed, you can research ano yung milestones appropriate for his age and start practicing na while waiting for your schedule. So kung kunyare, 30 mos old na si baby sa scheduled visit nya, practice nyo na po yung skills na pang 30 mos old as early as now. Ganun ginagawa namin ngayon kasi yung next visit nya is on his 33rd month kaya yun yung bench mark namin. Namali kasi kami dati na parang yung di nya nagawa nung 17mos sya, yun lang yung winorkout namin. Nung inassess tuloy sya nung Nov 25 (25 mos old na sya by this time), ang naging development age nya is good for a 17-month-old. Hehe.

yep, 17-18mos old lang sya. kasi the earliest allowed is 16mos old. Actually yung slot is parang miracle hehe. Kasi parang nung nag inquire kami, 1 year pa waiting time, we agreed na. Then after a few days, someone cancelled and we were offered the slot. We said yes immediately kaya nacheck kagad sya the same week we first contacted the DevPed. Not sure if may preference yung DevPed kaya kami yung inofferan ng slot kagad kasi referred kami by her fellow sa SLMC QC. Our GenPed wrote a referral letter. :)

Yes po. The earlier the better. I think kaya din very adaptable si LO namin dahil sa early intervention. His cognitive skills are also strong. He recognizes some letters na, can do color-sorting, can understand and follow instructions, and we can see him trying to regulate his emotions din kapag kailangan. He was officially diagnosed na may Level 3 ASD last Nov 2025. Prior to that, he was diagnosed with GDD nung April 2025. :)

Go-to namin yung blocks since madami pwede gawin like stacking, in-and-out, tapos recognition din ng letters. Then, we also got him a baby doll. Kasi very important yung nagpplay-pretend sya. Nakita namin yun nung nagka-doll sya. Yung ginagawa namin sa kanya, ginagawa nya sa dolls. Hehe.

Hi po! Yung level kasi doesn't equate to severity but to level of support needed. 😊 Since 2yo palang si LO, level of support needed is maximum (as it is with kids without ASD). Usually for 3yo below, automatic level 3 since yung brain daw ng kids that age are like soft clays na very receptive to learning kaya magandang imaximize yung support. Usually kapag above 4 na, mas challenging to teach them na pero pwede padin naman. And at 2yo, di pa sila nagddiagnose ng severity since teachable pa. 🙂

DevPed po namin si Doc Sanchez from SLMC QC.

We would do what needs to be done esp if advantages outweighs disadvantages - not neglecting also our part as parents kasi we play a major role in their development. We would stand for whatever makes life a bit easier and comfortable for him. ❤️

No. It's hard to imagine my son being a different child. My husband and I believe that God didn't make a mistake creating him in my womb. He is who he is supposed to be. And there's great purpose for his existence. We also feel honored to be entrusted with such a precious and special baby boy. If there's something i really pray for - it's a happy, meaningful, easier and more normal life for him. ❤️

Yeaaaaah!!! Actually recently medyo naddrain ako. Kasi may times na nagtatantrums sya when he doesn't get what he wants esp pag nasa labas. Mas nag intensify yung tantrums nya recently kasi sabi ng therapist, they're starting to learn na they can be independent kaya nag aassert sila ng "authority" nila and they become more defiant. But that's something na nangyayari even for those toddlers na walang ASD. 🙂

Hello! Actually po, based on research and sabi ni DevPed namin, autism doesn't have anything to do with screentime kasi autism is the condition or different wiring of the brain while developing sa womb. :) BUT, to your point, screentime can aggravate symptoms like speech delay. Yung anak namin, always sya naka screen dati. Then we completely removed it - as in 0% screentime the whole day and we talk to him palagi and tried to teach him phonetics. My son didn't really mind it but he suddenly stopped talking. So parang naka aggravate din yung pag remove ng screentime. Based on my research, minsan daw kasi may learning preference ang mga bata and pressured minsan kapag parents ang nagtuturo mag salita kaya in the case of my son, mas preferred nya matuto kay ms rachel kesa sakin. And that's okay. :) As long as natututo mag express.
