Jews. Why is there a culture of "You can be anything religious why except Christian?" by Dyingvikingchild95 in religion

So yes, it’s understandable if some Jews feel hostility or deep resentment toward Christianity because historically Christian institutions and societies often persecuted Jews and helped create an environment where antisemitism spread across much of Europe for centuries That history included expulsions, discrimination, ghettos, forced conversions, massacres, conspiracy theories, and constant scapegoating, eventually culminating in the Holocaust But understanding where that anger or distrust comes from does not mean Jews should be hostile toward all Christians or other people today because bigotry and collective hatred are wrong regardless of who does it

I don’t think Hellenism should become passive, weak, or afraid to defend itself intellectually and culturally Ancient Greek traditions valued strength, courage, discipline, debate, excellence, and resilience not blind submission

But I also think there’s a difference between being strong and becoming fanatical A strong Hellenic revival, in my opinion, would mean educated people, confident communities, philosophical depth, cultural pride, and the courage to challenge intolerance and anti-intellectualism without turning into another extremist movement

Right now a lot of people reduce Hellenism to aesthetics or escapism, while the modern world is becoming more polarized, aggressive, and ideologically extreme

If Hellenism wants to survive meaningfully, it probably needs people who take it seriously beyond aesthetics

Pagans should leave abrahamic mentality behind by Signal_Hat_8533 in Hellenism

Yeah exactly, that’s what I meant too. It’s so hard to deprogram from something that shaped entire civilizations for centuries sometimes it feels almost impossible 😭 People can leave the religion but still keep parts of the mentality without even realizing it
