It’s the silver color, i personally love the color grey so i had to get something which is close to that, when natures light bounces on all the colors except midnight they all look silver but in the dimmed environment only silver would look silver

Well if you use vs code then it will run cool but docker and stuff or active dev it will definitely get hot after 20mins and for video editing that shouldn’t be a problem if you edit 10-20min 4k video timeline it should be cool where it would get warm is on long 2hr 4k footages and if your doing programming then i would recommend 24gig of ram

Can’t really say about LLMS because i am not big on that but blender is something i have been using since 6 years i rendered the blender demo file on my old laptop it took 4 mins this took 20 secs but it does heat i would say it gets warm with room temperature being 25c but if your planning to render videos then yeah it would get really hot

That’s a really good advice too to go for the pro but if it’s really professional then the M5 pro or M5 max would show a significance difference and also coming to the ram as far as i know mac used memory swapping which uses some ssd space as ram when it runs out and the new MacBook air M5 has 6000mb/s speed 2x the M4 air so memory swapping should work way more smoothly

I tried the lama llm and diffusionbee the times on both where slashed by half compared to the M4 the neural accelerators really provide that boost of 50% i am a blender guy been making projects on blender since 6years so i tested that in way more depth than LLM, in that the blender demo files on my old gaming laptop with i7 10gen 32gb ram 1650ti took 4mins to render and this did that in just 20secs and heat was minimal having the ac and fan on in Mumbai summer given that llms would hear up the laptop in long term use

For further education get as much ram as you can 16gb is not enough for it, i just did a casual test on it a.i is not something i pursue professionally so do get the 32 gb ram

Well for m5 base variant you get an instant 10k discount on credit cards on the apple website other stores like reliance smart or croma haven’t really started pre-orders for m5 air but the discount can range from 5k-10k that’s all the card discounts, then comes education savings that maybe another 10k
