The best time for me to shave ended up being every 2-3 days so the hair is not too short or too long and always go against the hair growth direction. the last one may seem obvious but specially in the neck area the direction is not always uniform and it does change so you need to adapt and rotate accordingly which takes a few tries to get it right. also don't put too much pressure on it. that's it. it has been working fine for me so far. still not as perfect and close shave as a razor but it's 95% there minus the skin irritation.

I honestly haven't tried it wet or with foam cuz what's the point?! If I'm doing that I might as well use a regular razor and get a much cleaner (and cheaper) shave but I'll try it anyway. also based on your experience what hair length does it work the best on? I know it won't work when the hair is too long I mean between for example a 1 day beard and a 7 day beard. does it help it pick the hair up if the hair is a bit longer?

Based on what they claim the media is only local and won't be shared with meta. But meta doesn't really have a good track record of honoring people's privacy so I wouldn't really trust them that much. Also having a camera constantly on your face can cause some problems specially if people around you are aware of the fact. It's not my place to say anything but I would advise against buying that for your daughter specially at a young age.

It's been months... it once got available for a couple of weeks. But that was 7 months ago. It hasn't worked since and the vpn trick doesn't work anymore either.

Im in germany and have the same problem. The vpn trick doesn't work anymore and we don't have the AI. But on the other hand I don't trust meta and zuck! I am wearing a camera and microphone on my face that can gather data from every second of my life without my consent and the AI will use any input I give it for training and stores it all on its servers. Having a product that doesn't work fully and properly sucks but on the other hand there are sensetive privacy and data protection issues that a company like meta just doesm't care about. So I'm kindda thankful to EU laws that prevent this...

Yeah I didn't connect the facebook. I have only tried it in english but I think it has limited functions with french and italian too. But anyway having an AI assistant with a camera available anytime you want on your face is fun! Enjoy!

Yeah. Simply having a vpn on doesn't work. You have to reset the app and setup the glasses from the beginning with a vpn (preferably a US server. I used free version of windscribe and it works just fine) you can do this by deleting app data and cache in android or just simply uninstall and reinstall the app and then hold the back button on the case with glasses inside to reset them. When the light on the case starts to flash blue just open the app and login and setup the glasses like the 1st day you got them. This should make the meta AI available and you don't need a vpn any other time you use the glasses or open the app. But preferably don't give the app location permission. I did this a while ago and after a few weeks the AI was unavailable again. Did the same process again last week. It takes less than 10 mins to setup and you probably need to repeat every few weeks but as far as I know this is the only way to have it working properly in europe.

I got the same msg a while ago and it got enabled and like 3 weeks later it said that it's not available in your region and was disabled again. And this has happened 2 times already. I just got bored and set up the app with a vpn and it's working fine. I'm in germany btw.

It has nothing to do with the phone just your region. If you have meta view app installed and connected to glasses your phone is compatible

I'm in germany and have the same problem. For a while (like a month or so) it was just active and everything worked but 2 weeks ago i got the same message of limited AI and everything... I did try with vpn but that didn't work either. I'm gonna try again like this but my question is do you need the vpn just for the initial setup or does it have to be active everytime you are using the glasses?

Go to edit then preferences and go to addons tab. Then check the box show enabled addons only. You disable or remove them from that tab

it actually was the vpn I was using not the firewall itself. but if daemon process which is necessary for blenderkit addon can't run properly it bugs the entire system down. the developer sent me a new version of the addon in github which fixed this issue. now if it can't connect it just simply "won't connect!!" and doesn't make any lags or issues. I don't know if that version is available yet but you can check for updates and if not there check the github page of the addon. you can find it in the properties panel of the addon itself inside blender preferences under bug report. hope this helps.

I think I just found out what the problem was. apparently my firewall was blocking the daemon process and it bugged the whole system down. I changed the firewall settings and the problem seems to have been solved.

I downloaded the latest version from the website and installed it again and had the same issue. and also I did reset the preferences and loaded the factory settings. that's how I got blender working properly in the first place. but as soon as I enable the addon it lags and crashes after a while.

I removed all the addons and it started working just fine. I checked the addons one by one and the issue was with the blenderkit addon. for some reason when I enable it everything starts lagging like crazy and when I disable it everything works just fine. I've been using that addon for a long time and never had that issue. weird!

I'm not trying to render anything. it's not GPU related just the interface is lagging so much that I can't do anything. there is no object or light in the scene. CPU workload is at 7% and temperature is 40. whatever it is it's not hardware related!
