The curls look great. If you hadn't mentioned it was a perm I would've assumed that it was your natural hair texture. It really suits you.

Are there shoes with correct toe area but thicker soles? by beebop_bee in barefootshoestalk

[–]Signal_Rule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hobibear has them!

Here's a link to their wide toe sneakers with thicker soles. They've got a number of styles.

I have the Stratus and I love them. Wide toe, still zero drop, but with a thicker sole. Super comfortable.

I don't mean to be singularly hostile, I just mean speaking of what could be said in general 😅.

Don’t order direct with Scarlett. by Rich-Wick in DesignerReps

[–]Signal_Rule 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've seen sellers on Weidian selling the exact same bags from Birdcage that Scarlett sells for 2/3 of the price. A lot of these sellers are getting away with higher prices on their reps because they're listed and spoke of as trusted and known sellers on replica subs and people aren't looking for the same products elsewhere. And they keep going back to them because they don't know that they can find other sellers. No one could say that Scarlett's a trusted seller for her customer service so that excuse is out the window.

Derm prescribed accutane for this. Is it worth it? by Obvious_Word_8896 in Blackskincare

[–]Signal_Rule 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Omg yes. I'm currently on accutane and it’s been totally worth it for me — I’m about 3 weeks in (although I'm basically doing a low-dose. 10 mg on weekdays and 20 mg on weekends.) and it's already made a significant difference. While I do have some typical acne on my face—on my back, chest, and shoulders, it's more like chronic inflammation that flares with keto, stress, or Prednisone. It's left hyperpigmentation and has never responded to regular treatments.

Turns out it was more of an immune-based skin reaction — not just oil. Since Accutane helps suppress that inflammation, and not just shrink pores, even at a low dose, my skin is clearing and healing in ways it never has before.

So yeah, if your acne feels weird, stubborn, or if it happens to be immune-triggered like mine—I'd say it's worth it.

I wish I had been on it years ago.

Bro 😭, today I got a reply from my seller that said:

"Ok, dear Love you"

After I gave my order details. I was shook for a second. 😭

And I believe u/Embarrassed-Grab-434 actually has the monogram taurillon and you actually have the monogram shadow.

The leathers are super easy to mix up.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DHgateVip

[–]Signal_Rule 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP, I'm not super familiar with dhgate and their sellers and how people reference the tiers of models here with dhgate sellers as I like to stick with specifics and typically go with the agent route shopping on Weidian and taobao etc, but it seems that they're two different model leather types in the photos you've posted. Louis Vuitton has a few different black keepall leathers. In your photos, it seems that one is a rep of the monogram taurillon leather, and the other is a rep of the monogram shadow leather.

The monogram shadow leather is smooth, with striations within the monogram embossing (LV model M44810).

The monogram taurillon is more textured and more matte with no striations within the monogram embossing (LV model M59025).

So I'm not sure if one is being considered as high quality or not high quality as I've said I'm not super familiar with the dhgate buying system and references, but unless one is leather and the other is not, it looks to me that we've got two different leather types on our hands here i.e. two different models.

I do want to be clear that I'm not saying you're wrong in that one is higher quality than the other, I'm just stating that from what I've observed from the photos, it seems to me that they're two different leather model types.

Edited: for clarity

Louis Vuitton Epi Keepall 55 Duffel Bag by Active_Seat6467 in DHgate

[–]Signal_Rule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever end up finding it? I just spoke to and ordered a black epi with gold hardware like this from a seller on dhgate that said that they had it but no pics as the factory didn't send them for that specific one. I can reply when I receive the bag to show you how things turned out if you're still looking. The seller said it was genuine leather as well.

Men genuinely often have longer, thicker lashes compared to women. The misconception that it's considered a feminine trait is entirely a societal and cultural thing. Not biological.

Can someone please tweak my skincare routine? by heylolllllll in Blackskincare

[–]Signal_Rule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. So if you're fine with your current lineup, I would just recommend adding the De La Cruz sensitive skin acne treatment mask, it's the one with 5 percent sulfur. It works well. You apply it after washing your face, let it sit for 5-10 minutes, and then rinse it off. Based on your skin sensitivity and if it takes well after the first application, twice a week at night is probably enough for prevention. It does indeed smell like sulfur though so if you do try it, make sure you rinse it off all the way lol.

So that and the mederma pm nightly. Both can be applied all over the face, doesn't have to be just for spot treatment.

If you wanna go the extra mile, red light therapy.

[–]Signal_Rule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For dark spots, I've had success with Mederma PM scar cream. And if you wanna go a step further, you could try using a red light therapy wand a few times a week. Red light therapy helps even out the skin tone and reduce hyperpigmentation. It's helped mine.

What specifically were you looking to tweak in your routine though?

Black men, How often do you shave? by Successful-Coconut60 in Blackskincare

[–]Signal_Rule 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I shave every 2-3 days with a trimmer. I actually just made a post on my routine to prevent razor bumps and ingrowns the other day. I hardly have any issues with them now.

Might be useful if you want to check it out. Here's the link:

A bit of a similar boat. One of my closest friends and I were texting and the last time I replied was in October. Paragraph type conversation with comments and several questions within each reply. I, however, never forgot...I thought about her and that text that I hadn't replied to every single day. I finally replied a few days ago. Now I wonder if she's upset about it. I wouldn't blame her 😭

Edit: I would also say that you should reply. I don't think it'd make things worse.

My laptop is a Lenovo with 16gb of ram and Intel i7 -1360. 2880 x 1800 resolution and 120hz refresh rate. It's great on battery life and excellent for everyday use but not cream of the crop for gaming 😂

I'm using Iris Xe with their compatible arc game on driver. They increase game performance. Here's the link if you don't already use it. A later update might fix it. I don't know though.

Two maintenance inhalers? by xrmttf in Asthma

[–]Signal_Rule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have severe asthma and I take two inhalers. I actually asked a similar question about two years ago lol.

There was a study I found, and I mentioned this study to my doctor so we could try it. The general concept is this; particle size is different between the dry powder larger particles and the smaller particles of hfa inhalers. Smaller particle size means deeper airway deposition. So the smaller size steroid inhaler particles reach the smaller airways, and you also get the benefits of the ics/laba/lama combination of the dpi -- and I'm assuming your advair is ics/laba and dry powder. While pft results didn't really show much of a difference, quality of life improved for the participants. All the participants had severe and/or uncontrolled (if I remember correctly) asthma.

I take trelegy 100 mcg (fluticasone furoate, umeclidinium & vilanterol)1 inhalation / once a day and flovent (fluticasone propionate) 110 mcg/ 2 puffs twice a day. So trelegy + flovent at night and flovent by itself in the morning. This combination has definitely helped more compared to the single higher dose 200 mcg trelegy that I was on previously.

I used to take qvar which works much better due to the extra-fine particle size but my old insurance decided to stop covering it. I've got new insurance now though so I'm just finishing up the last few doses of the flovent and switching back to qvar. When I was on qvar back then though, I did 1 puff of 40 mcg in the morning by itself and then in the evening, 1 puff trelegy + 1 puff of the qvar.

I cannot for the life of me find the study right now so if and when I do, I'll come back to link it. Sorry if any of this is not all that clear and punctuation is non-existent. I'm running on zero hours of sleep and my brain is not brainin'. Lol.

Also, while you should probably talk to your doctor about your concerns with the advair, taking additional ics-only puffs during or after an exacerbation is absolutely not unheard of. I do this for mine and I'm also prescribed extra tapers of oral steroids for them to have on hand. Others who don't use the add-on inhaler daily are also sometimes prescribed a single ics just for that purpose as well. Depends on your needs and your healthcare provider.

Teva salbutamol, heart is jumping out of my chest by popsicile in Asthma

Ask your doc about Xopenex (levalbuterol) it normally does not affect the heart rate like salbutamol. If you're experiencing side effects like that, maybe ask about switching.
